This is a new level of stupid (low or high doesn't matter) 😠 😠
ITT: casuals complaining about old school WoW mechanics.hey guys if you don't want to get dazed, don't run through mobs. its that easy.. it'll take a little skill and sometimes a little luck, but i believe in you guys. or, you know, just use the new item they're introducing the same time as this "nerf" that prevents all daze. crazy idea.
You know, I usually find those "FUN DETECTED" posts to be trollish. But I mean, the glove fits. This is a straight-up nerf. The fact that there are other ways to avoid getting dazed doesn't change that fact.In 8.1.5, I can't get dazed with Resounding Protection and I can walk on water on my Waterstrider. In 8.2, I'm forced to choose between getting dazed or water walking, by using a consumable item that (according to the devs) is supposed to cost around 1000g for the anti-daze one. Nobody's going to frequently switch their mount equipment at that cost-- I have >12 million gold on my account and I wouldn't pay it.So the end result will be picking either water-walking or anti-daze, and using potions/leatherworking items from the AH for the other one. And that is a nerf. It sucks. Not the end of the world, I'm not quitting over it or anything, but it's just one more straw the devs chose to pile on that camel's back, one more little nerf to make me enjoy their game less.
I don't think that's true, I think the system was invented to fix "the waterstrider problem", where there was one best mount for pretty much all occasions, where you saw most players running around on waterstriders. Their intentions were pure, and the design principles behind mount equipment are perfectly fine, but as usual, their implementation leaves much to be desired. So now they have to nerf us to make their new system worthwhile. Before this daze nerf I planned to basically ignore mount equipment. Put waterwalking on every character and leave it there forever. This was a nice change, in that I would get to use all my mounts, but not a system I would engage with in any meaningful manner. I was fine with that. And now after the daze nerf, I... wait a second, it's exactly the same! I'll put waterwalking on every character and leave it there forever. Only change is now I'll be forced to switch to tank spec or buy leatherworking anti-daze items from the AH. Net negative? Well maybe not if you're a leatherworker, but for me, yes.
People who cry about these kind of things are the reason wow became so streamlined.
Just get rid of daze already
I guess they want everyone to play blood DK LOL.
They need to revert everything and delete this mount equipment system. It has not done anything to improve the game, but the changes to make the system nobody asked for relevant are seriously aggravating. And none of this would matter if they hadn't effectively removed flying.
Or they can just revert the daze rates back to how they were before legion... I'm tired of needing barding because I (Myself personally apparently) get dazed 1-3 times a minute and on average chain dazed up to 9 seconds. No exaggeration, I'm the %^&*ing Wil Wheaton when it comes to being dazed. Its like the worst of vanilla all over again. I'd love to see someone dive into legions or WoDs patch notes and find the hidden daze rate increase because it hasn't been this bad since vanilla when it scaled with armor rating. To top it off It wouldn't surprise me if they remove barding from LW and toss a mount slot item in the store that grants immunity to daze and one for water walking. Blizzard, your activision is showing again
Can even someone explain reason behind DAZE in open world? What's the actually point?
Underlight Angler is going to get destroyed too, just wait for it. I'm literally going to lose my awesome(and grindy) fishing pole perks so some designer can get their pet system into the game, NO MATTER WHAT. I can't imagine forcing something like this onto players who clearly do not want it. It's not even for their own good.As a system that enhanced our mounts? Sure, there's a point to it. But not at the expense of losing any further mobility in a world that is already so restrictive.I might as well just play classic at this rate. At least such slow travel speeds are a match to the rest of the design. Unlike WOW of today where you can buy your way to level cap and click a button to get into a "Raid."
Nobody will care about this once they start flying again.
