Fated for Season 4 in Shadowlands was a nice idea, a nice change of pace. Just... different. But really it was just filler for lack of content even though they still insist there were only going to be 2 major patches. The worst lesson Blizz can take away from Shadowlands was that we want the filler season to be a regular addition to our expansion experience. Just because we enjoyed it that one time due to outside influences you refuse to acknowledge, does not mean we want this every expansion from now on.I can't argue that we're potentially getting less content since the team have been giving us a lot of extra things every patch, but I personally play to raid and would absolutely rather have a 4th raid tier than most of these extra activities. I admit it was nice at first to get all these extra things to do but as time's gone on, it's become too much. No, you don't even need to do it all. When a new activity comes out the odds are the previous is of no interest to you anymore, but EVERY patch, major or minor, there has been a new activity to farm. Of course I don't want the devs to be overworked like they probably were pre-pandemic, but I'd be much happier to see say half of the additional activities coming out, in favour of putting resources into a 4th raid tier.Part of me is still hoping that Blizzcon will have a 10.3 announcement just to really win everyone over, although again, I worry for overworking the devs on top of giving us too many activities before we get to 11.0's release.
Most of the expansions had 3 tiers, only Legion and BFA had 4 "real" tiers. Some of those tiers tho, had a x.5 raid, but it was still in the same tier. So, it's likely to be that case for DF, and honestly, I'm glad to see "short" expansions. For 2 things: One is where some people don't like that much this expansion theme, whishing to move on to the next one sooner. And second is where some players play a lot, and finish quickly what they can achieve in this expansion ( don't forget most of raid content is cleared is a week or two), making them happy to see new content and a whole new expansion sooner. I still feel 6 months is a bit too long, I personnally stopped raiding a two months ago, did everything I wanted to do this season. I did the same on season 1, and I doubt it will change in season 3. But so far I haven't unsubscribed yet so it's still way better than SL (where I did unsubscribed for a year). I feel like they are getting very close to the comfort zone for the duration of a tier, and I'm happy with it, even if I'm trying to find new stuff to do when the season is almost done, I finally always find stuff to have fun. Shorten the tier 1 month less, and this will be perfect in my honest opinion
Really grossed out at the idea that instead of an expansion-ending AOTC mount we're getting a new skin for an existing mount. Bad enough that that's happening in the first place, even worse when it's for a mount that already had a final raid boss skin for it with the first raid of the expansion.Don't do that to us, Blizz.
