Blizz listened? Whaaaa? Guess they had to get sued, fired and bought in order for this to come about. The game is dying (more so for allies than horde) and we need something to stabilize it; giving players a faster queue time is a step in the right direction. Also the "war" thing is getting really stale. They've crapped on the lore enough that everything is so ridiculous right now, why not have cross-faction
edit: duplicate.
If they go the whole hog and have cross faction guilds, guess what they'll basically be committing themselves to? Guild housing. Be it instanced or on a ship or phased. Still doubt we'll see Orcs roaming the streets of Storm Wind Hammer timing it with a bunch of alliance players, or Humans telling cheesy jokes to the Orgrimmar guards however.Guild housing - can definitely see that being a thing following this announcement though.
silly fans, world of WARcraft isn't about WAR
if you want to keep sucking down the copium be my guest. I for one welcome something the player base wants and would allow more people to play content as a group also cutting the need for waiting for one faction to get down with content before opening up cross-realm play etc. and Cross faction guilds would be the most logical next step I hope that this test bed of sorts does well. Allowing them to full send in 10.0
Each and every day - world of warcraft continues to die.If your aim is to remove the "MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER" component from your game - just say so and make this free to play.If your aim is to live in this utopia of rainbows and unicorns and peace and love and false pretenses - you make it easier and easier for me to stop logging in.
I think enabling cross faction interactions greatly adds to the depth of gameplay, RP, and reflects actual lore and story aspects of the game. Some humans will always hate orcs and vice versa, but that shouldn't mean an Arena team of Varian, Broll, and Valeera can't play together.
"I support it to a degree. For lore purposes they need to make it so there is a treaty signed or a handshake deal for raiders that is temporary. Consider it a partnership of convenience. I'm cool with raiding or even questing along with the other faction to save the world, but it doesnt mean we are suddenly best friends. So no cross faction in enemy cities. And honestly in contested areas I'd still like to see some aggression towards each other. If we are potentially in competition for land or resources it makes sense for small skirmishes."I agree fellow gamer.
Anything about cross-faction mailing among personal alts? I'm hoping for that!
Just drop the entire barrier. My brother started playing with but rolled Alliance because Im Alliance but he wanted to play Horde... just let us make a guild together and quest together and trade together. The story has been faction nuetral for ages. The AH is neutral... just do it already. Let be factions be a PvP and cosmetic choice at this point. Its insane to keep it separated
