I'm so hyped for this. I'm wondering if it'll have cosmetic rewards like the Tower did.
I am excited about this: the option to get into those as a group or solo is pretty nice.Given the research tree and iterative nature of this content, it feels a lot more like Chromie's challenge than the mage tower. I did like Chromie's challenge, but that was some pretty short lived content. If they manage to add something to it that feels more like the mage tower, now that is very exciting. The mage tower was hands down my favorite feature of Legion.
that's pretty neat too, it seems 8.3 might be what bfa needs to not end like the trash it has been so far, it's the first time i'm actually excited for something about bfa.
This sounds a lot like Path of Exile's Delve system. I'm glad they are adding solo content, if only they would do this 1-5 player scaling for dungeons.
The fact that this is scale-ble really excites me. My friends and I sometimes have weird schedules so it will be nice if there is an activity we can jump in that is 2 or 4 people and have it scale appropriately and possibly work towards some unique cosmetic rewards.
Clearing faceless horrors out of a horrific vision of corrupted Stormwind... Pretty sure the final boss of that will be The Goldshire Inn.
This seems outstanding, really looking forward to it!
The most beautiful thing about Legion Mage Tower is that it is not mandatory at all. But if we can wear this legendary cloak into raids and keystone dungeons this thing is gonna be vital in player power progression. Hopefully content itself is fun enough to be worth doing regardless of the reward.
I would have liked a HORDE burning Stormwind while the old gods meddled in our siege, but that is enough. Although because BLIZZARD just wants to show an equivalence, we will have for both.more legendary cloaks like PANDARIA? please we need weapons, what happens here, another "re do"?
Boiling Nyalotha down to a single raid, Blizzards wasted potential strikes again.
i do hope this is purely a cosmetic thing you can do for fun / if you want to do it kinda a mix of the chromie event and the mage tower however one line has me worried " This cloak may also be handy when facing N'zoth himself further down the road. " which might mean it has some really strong / good effect for the n'zoth fight making it mandatory for anyone who takes raiding even remotely seriously which is not ideal granted most people will most likely just do it anyway
Wrathion the tailor.
Well this is improved version of "Deaths of Chromie" scenario.
Dungeons are designed for 5 players (including roles). Scaling dungeons down to one player would imply that the single player would have to tank, dps and heal all at once. Now if they were to add NPCs to perform the roles other than yours, they could apply the proving grounds concept to pretty much anything. I for once would be very interested in clearing M+ dungeons next to a bunch of NPCs.
You say it will scale seamlessly from 1 to 5 players regardless of role, but how well does that work for healers? Can you do it as a solo healer? Or is it like islands where a healer feels kind of worthless?
