The only people that benefit from first week item level restrictions are hardcore mythic raiders, this is a big L for the rest of the playerbase. Just adding confusing onto gear for the first week and making it undesirable to even play that week.

Why is the game optimized again for 1% of the players, when will Blizzard stop doing this? This is terrible for the game overall. You would think they would learn by now, but no let's go again and do this all over. If Race to World First needs to grind the first weeks so be it, if they want to be first let them grind, don't optimize the game for the top 1% nobody gives a %^&* about this except the people that are racing, they are going to burn out, oh no. :( I mean seriously this is a huge mistake, stop optimizing the game for the top 1% and then lose all the other players who don't even try to participate because they understand that this is not how the game is played. BIG Streams wow and after the race is over optimize the bosses 20 times and nerf them week by week or stupid $%^& like that, it's not hype, that's just bad design.
How is this bad for anyone?The argument I'm hearing it "This is bad for X because we have to wait a wait longer."Nah.This is good for X because you don't have to rush everything on day one. Your friends can have a job and still run M+ with you without being behind. Besides, heroic dungeons are m0 level challenge now and Mythic 0 is the same difficult as a current today M+10. The extra week grinding this and getting to know the dungeons while gearing up will be beneificial to all.An argument could be made for "So people can raid before I do M+". Yeah. That's fine? You're not in a race and have all the availabilities every other player has.
Literally changed the entire game for 0.1% of the player base. Wish Blizzard just gave these darn players a tournament realm already.
Who cares about race to world first. Just make the game good for as many players as possible. Wild that that was part of the decision making for content release.
Personally I don't like this change. When a new patch dropped I quite liked the faster cadence of
Early access + week 1 is heroic dungeons - get fully heroic geared or close enough.Week 2 is m0 only - finish getting heroic geared and run m0s. Week 3 season - actual start of the season.Provides plenty of time to touch grass and play other games as heroic gear will be replaced pretty quickly while they probobly do some class tuining as they usually do for the first 6 weeks of a season.

Ugg. I liked having M+ being uncapped from the get go. I hate how we get shafted by the no-lifer racers.

Too much convoluted for no reason, just make Mythic + gear only usable in Mythic+ and raid gear on raids. Everyone would be starting with the gear from dungeons up to regular Mythic then part ways to the content they want to do and focus first.
