Blizzard must give job to him ! Awesome concepts!
The Nightborne is the best ever! and the others are just amazing!
These are amazing and well imagined and I would to see them in the game, however this would realistically be too much work for Blizzard to complete (in a decent time scale; look how long it takes them to release single heritage armours).I think the most realistic way for class/race specific armours to be implemented would be if Blizzard used a template for a race and changed specific armour pieces to achieve a new look (Handclaw ha done this in a couple such as the DI Hunter and Dwarf paladin which use the current heritage armour as a template). The impossibility of these being implemented doesn't remove the fact that I would love to see even one of these in the game (and would probably reroll just to use therm XD).
HIRE. THIS. MAN!I would level up one of every single combo just to have some of those sets
Seeing these is actually terrible. Because I know we will never get these sets.
As someone who's been following his work since the first set he made, it's really nice to see him get the recognition he deserves from multiple different platforms. Unfortunately, now even more people are going to be affected by the curse that is seeing this and being sad over never actually having it, really wish the Heritage armor concept gets expanded in the future when they get through the current iteration of them.
theres talent in bizzard but yeah he nailed it
These need to happen!
Meh. You can see there's plenty of sets that aren't even adapted properly and are just blatant rip offs of existing models.
It's not as simple as just hiring this guy and all of a sudden they would start making armor sets like this. It's not like Blizzard doesn't have talent, it's all about time, money and decision making. Stuff like this takes time and costs resources, some of which probably needs to be spent elsewere, according to Blizzard. They said they wanted to release more heritage armor sets and the like and release it through future patches after Shadowlands. Which means time and resources are being spent elsewere.Even though an artist have great talent like this and wants to make something amazing, the company makes decisions and tell them they have x amount of time and they have x amount of resources to work with. Some designs won't just work either as wow is a very old engine even though they continue to upgrade it, we've just started to see a lot of actual physics within the game that weren't there before like chains and cloth etc that responds to movement for example, probably a lot else too. Most of wows armor is just textures upon the character model and then some 3D armor which is just slapped on it, attached to different joints like the shoulder or arms etc.I don't know what it would take Blizzard to make actual armor, actual 3D meshes of their own and not just textures on the character models, add some more or use more physics on armor. Imagine if the cloak on your character had full physics, not just an animation that makes the illusion of physics when you start running or swing your sword etc. Or imagine if the cloak was a 3D mesh as well and not just 1 pixel flat texture. Imagine if your entire caster robe was responding to physics and had a model of its own and not just texture on the character model with a skirt. There is a lot of time that is needed to achieve this, which for the company might not be so important right now. There is much to be done and to alter, perhaps they might have to redo their entire engine somehow before they can start to achieve beautiful armors like this.By the way, an artist with this talent should work for a company that lets him use his full potential without a deadline, take the time he needs. As an artist you want to finish your work not crunch it and of course get payed well.
Seriously I think he could take care of all of Shadowlands Tier sets.. like by himself. Hire him.
This guy should avoid Blizzard unless he can negotiate a stellar contract. Went to school for game design. One of my professors, and co-director of the degree program I was in said Blizzard pays below industry standard because they fully leverage their prestige. Prospective talent are more excited to work for Blizzard than to obtain a sustainable, liveable wage. Spoke to a nice lady who did work on the textures of Waycrest Manor and corrobated exactly what my professor spoke about. Work in this sector is mostly contractual now. He might be hired, but it probably won't be long term. He'd be better off holding out for a company that would pay a healthy retainer and keep him on long-term, but the truth is that it's just not that realistic and this market is already saturated. Handclaw is good, but Blizzard's current artists are slighty more experienced, but more importantly, ingrained. They're not going to bring you in unless you can hang with the company culture, and until then, you'll be at arm's length for at least a few years, and then maybe you get to work on something like this.
Class-specific heritage armor will be INSANE ! Amazing talent.
I never thought we needed class/race combo gear. But now we need it,this how you make a class fantasy look like while giving you a race fantasy with it.
This is mind-blowing. SO GOOD! Too bad we can't actually get these in-game.
Superb skill and imagination!
That kul tiran is awesome. pay this guy and you are half done blizzard.
I truly wish we could have armour sets like this in game. They're all so beautiful and well thought out that it's hard to pick a favourite. Blizzard needs to hire this guy (and pay him a decent wage).
Nice!
