So what if I am able to pug 15 kills of heroic bladefist this week? Do I from there on out get a quest that gives the 685 gear every two week from there on out? If so LFG Karrrrrrrrgath
got 23 normal kills full clear and 24h kills also full clear, didn't get any kind of mission, normal, heroic or mythic. I get only those ones with 645ilvl loot. Got one last week. http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/character/runetotem/Remm/simple
Can you get the higher gear reward missions on alts if only your main has the kills?
i didn't get any highmaul mission at all. And those with 645 ilvl loot does not count as highamul because i got one today, and had one before 3 days ago. Now on 33 heroic kills double full clear and nothing.
I made a spreadsheet to make planning your team and picking your team easier. Obviously wait until they are epic then plan the strategy of trying to get followers with the capability to do two or more missions. I made the mistake of boosting all my guys before seeing this and now it's like I can't get armor/weapon upgrades like I was before. Find the followers to be on your team and boost them. Also note that certain classes won't be able to get a certain trait. Wowhead has a guide for followers that show which classes can get certain traits. I don't know if it's allowed but I put the excel spreadsheet on google and will link. Just a simple 2 page spreadsheet.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1cWNnJZGwf0qaqX54xIhsXD60GuHiv9Mp-aJCc_s76N8/edit?usp=sharing
In the end it really is up the the RNG gods. Both me and the wife got our Highmaul raid missions this week with 655 loot. She had been saving a lot of her follower and weapon token so she could dump them all on the followers that had the best chance to get close to 100% chance. She ended up at 94% chance and sadly Failed her mission. Luckly for me two of my followers had the buffs needed but the third one only provided the stam buff for increase chance to pass.I had at least one of the things needed for each boss and had a 60% chance but decided to go for it and won. I got a Warforged item lvl 661 dps ring which was nice.I would feel alot better next time with a higher chance but after seeing hers fail at 94% i know unless it's 100% i don't wont to give my hopes up lol.
I wish that was true but alas it isn't.One of my followers has both the epic mount and the high stamina trait. If i use this follower on an 8 hour mission, i don't get the high stamina buff.(it's very annoying)
While I realize rng is rng, not completing a mission with a 97% success rate is just plain stupid. That's like saying my 3 ilvl 650 guys were all struck by lightning and failed the mission; even though it was a desert mission. Blizzard needs to fix this.
I completely agree with the banking of tokens. I just completed my first raid mission and it was a nightmare to gear up three followers to 645. Now I am saving up all tokens until the next mission arrives.I would suggest if you have not yet reached 645 on any followers yet to activate these mission; save up all (or at least 3 sets of) 630 and especially 645 tokens and only use the others to level their weapons and armour. This should let you boost specific followers needed for the mission quickly.
I have over 20 normal kills and 10 followers at 655. Yet to see a Heroic Mission.I wonder if you can only spawn one Highmaul mission regardless of quality, Normal, Heroic or Mythic. Like you could be unlucky and get Normal mission, or lucky and get a Mythic mission? I did my last Normal mission 2 weeks ago.Has anyone gotten Normal, Heroic and/or Mythic mission within a short amount of time?I'm closing in on 15 kills on Heroic, probably gonna get the last 3 kills tomorrow and see if I'll get a Mythic mission.Hopefully it spawns soon, could use some more gear, especially weapons.
Oh god! This is very helpful, especially when I've been trying to find something about these missions that can help me boost the success rate! Thank you so much!
If the mission success rate formula given by Simca here and my own calculations are correct, I think the 4 raid missions could be achived by a team of only 3 very specific followers. You need to :- Obviously 3 followers at 645 ilvl (giving 14% success chance diregarding all abilities and traits) - Counter 4 threats by mission (giving 71% success chance disregarding the traits, 14.3% per threat countered)- Counter at least 3 of the 4 mission type ( + 4.8 % of success chance, apply only once per mission) - Stack 3 or 4 racial bonus ( + 7.1 % of success per racial bonus)- Stack 1 or 2 High Stamina bonus ( +4.8% of success per bonus)A typical team (alliance side) could be :Follower 1 : Dwarf / Danger Zones + Deadly minions / Marshwalker + Plainsrunner + OgreslayerFollower 2 : Human / Magic Debuff + Minion Swarms / GronnSlayer + Dwarvenborn + High StaminaFollower 3 : Night Elf / Timed Battle + Wild Aggression / Dwarvenborn + Humanist + High StaminaYou have multiple combinations of traits that are suitable, although it is still very specific and very unlikely to happen. It seems that if your followers are 655, % are slightly increased.Note : for easier calculation, if your followers are >645 ilvl, count : => 1 for the presence of a follower, => 3 per threats countered, =>1 per mission type countered, =>1 for each stamina bonus, =>1.5 per racial bonus. If the sum is above 21, you have 100% success chance (22.5 for the team above for example = 107% !)I checked my roster, I'm not even close to have one of them :(Good luck for finding the dream team !
Master Plan, an add-on, just added a "Missions of Interest" tab. It has the four Highmaul missions, two 630 missions awarding 175 GR, two 615 missions awarding 130 GR, two 100/600 missions awarding 100 GR, a 100/600 mission awarding 500 gold, and five 100/600 missions awarding 3 abrogator stones (part of the Legendary questline). It shows teams with all the necessary counters, and lets you know if you have high enough iLvls to do it.I am VERY happy to see that, aside from iLvls, I have perfect teams for each of the Highmaul missions. I just need to keep grinding away at iLvls, and I'm there! :-)
