Anyone (aside from me) notice that the two gold-producing buildings (Trading Post and Salvage Yard) no longer do so?Trading Post now acts as a rep gate (like the Golden Lotus rep gated getting rep with the Shado-Pan and August Celestials) for two factions (Shattari Defense and Laughing Skull. No idea who these two factions are). And Salvage Yard now allows salvage to be recovered from missions, with gear for followers and characters.I wanted the Trading Post's trade routes. I wanted the Salvage Yard's ability to convert scrap to Material (to build up the garrison), and Material to gold (to fund my purchases of BoE epic drops from raids, and to buy battle pets). Now? Harrumph... They look like "build until you get all the benefit out of them (exalted with the two factions, max ilvl for your followers and character until gates are opened), then tear them down and put up something else."
What I find interesting is that you can now DE stuff without needing to be a chanter, if you build the Enchanter's Study. This means all the loot during the early part of the game will not be wasted (instead of selling it for gold, get reagents from it).
so much hype on this =D
also this WorkshopCrush your enemies with your mechanized might!Unlocks a personal engineer that attaches rockets, mines, and speed boosts to your mounts. Exceptional work!I am too happy about this lol
seems really nice
Still no sign of an Archaeology building, huh?
I wonder I build the enchanter building, because now and in the past expansions I did not have big problems to get the enchanting mats. And I have 2 enchanters between my 6 Horde chars. Better focus on having 2x an Alchemy lab (or maybe more). Getting mats for my tailor.... common.... any Idea how much Tailoring mats I get now ? It is insane the amount off Bolts I have in stock. I keep them because I hope Blizzard release the daily cool down on making the Imperial Silk.
Oh, great. No more variable garrison locations. I don't give a crap what they do to "Make it an awesome place", a pile of ice and rock in the middle of nowhere is a pile of ice and rock in the middle of nowhere. Just like that, my dreams of a jungle fortress are ruined. I seriously hope they change that later, or this whole system just lost a lot of appeal in my eyes.
Haha there's a follower called "Leeroy Jenkins", nice one! Hope it sticks to the actual live game :)
Yeah, we've been partially focusing on the Alliance garrisons because Horde ones were buggy and couldn't hit Level 2. Wednesday's build fixed it, but according to Olivia who leveled it up, it looked 'exactly the same.'
Horde for the win but i have to agree with Kanariya ... Im not very impressed with the horde garrison's compared to the alliance , and shadowmoons back drop looks better as well ...
ok, so why'd they scrap the 3rd medium & large plot (& building specs)? was it so they'd have something to add in a future patch?...screw that i want my 3 large & mediums now damn it!I'm excited for garrisons, but no where near as much as I was when they had a 3rd medium & large plots (& building specs),...and we could choose where to 'set up shop'.They took a hell of a lot of fun out of garrisons by taking those out^.
What is this about outposts? I don't think I've seen anything about this before.
the concept of this is nice but it's seriously lack luster compared to other games with player housing
Pretty disappointed in the fact that the amount of garrison buildings from what was talked about just a few months ago has shrunk. We have the automatic ones but then you have less plots to use now after what has been shown lately.
I can't wait for the WoD expansion to hit!
So awesome, I can't wait for these! I am looking forward to character homing, as it is a feature I've been waiting on for a long time. I really hope that these are as good as they are hyped up to be!
While the gameplay of the garrisons might be nice, the design job is absolutely poor.Barren wasteland zones such as Silithus, Tanaris, Winterspring or Dragonblight are a nice change of pace, but not zones most people enjoy in terms of atmosphere or feel. Forcing Horde players to spend an entire expansion in such a zone is a very bad choice. We have all these beautiful zones, and we get stuck in this lackluster place. In addition, I'm pretty sure 90% of the playerbase is tired of every form of camp using the same bland Orc/Human architecture we've been seeing for almost 10 years now. There are 8 other races in the game who all have unique architecture too, maybe use some of that for a change.Sticking with Human/Orc as representation of Alliance/Horde doesn't even make sense seeing the recent happenings, so they could've just mixed it up and use some other designs.Very, very poor job on implementing player housing, especially since WoW is already so late to the party compared to other games.
