Cool hearing from him as a pure player now :)

Man I miss GC....
Definitely miss his perspective and thoughts on the game, he always seemed genuinely excited to talk about it, unlike Ion, but whatever. The music in Grizzly Hills IS the best, good call!
Ghostcrawler was great1 I miss having him on the dev team. I loved the way he interacted with the players, and watching him on the Blizzcon panels. I have to agree that leveling is too fast. Leveling a DK through Wrath on CT the other night, I played for about 2 hours (and pretty leisurely, too - all I did was the Kamagua chain, so three of the eight quest achievement sub-requirements) and picked up four levels along the way. When prepatch launched IIRC I was at 25 and probably 1/3 through Howling Fjord; now I'm at maybe 2/3-3/4 through and I'm 33. I'm sure by the time I'm done with Gjalerbron and Fort Wildervar I'll be at 35+ - that's 10 levels for about 2/3 of one zone. There's no way in hell you can experience an entire expansion from 10-50 that way. I suppose the mentality is to get people to max ASAP so they can all raid together, but that's really doing a disservice to all the story experience along the way. Leveling used to mean something in the game, not just be a low speedbump on the way to grinding whatever endless currencies we have to grind out in a given expansion.Frankly, I feel the same way about how fast the first raid was scheduled to come out - two weeks after launch? Theoretically the main driving force behind an expansion to the game should be the new zones that are added and the new story contained there. Instead, we're supposed to blow through 75% or more of the new content to just get to endgame? What's even the point then? Might as well just plop us down at 60 on day one and say, here's the grind, there's the raid, get to it - and they could accomplish that with a patch, looking at the various new systems we saw emerge in, say, 7.2, 8.2, 8.3, etc.
Seeing Ghostcrawler back in communication involving Warcraft makes me want to go back and listen to old episodes of Blue Plz! Podcast with Total Biscuit, and old episodes of The Instance.
can always turn off xp gain to complete story if you afraid of being 50 before finishing story
I'm happy to see he's enjoying it overall, it's unfortunate he had to take such a long break after leaving Blizzard.
I'm happy to see him back. He wasnt my favorite BY FAR (still salty by a couple of nerfs), but now we know that he was the best. Hoping he enjoys the gameNow hoping for real criticism instead of the soft blows he just did
Reading this gives me a glimmer of hope that WoW is still a good game. I hope Shadowlands will reinforce that and will be a good next expansion to play for the next two years to come.
