It is super obvious that this will be replaced with your soulbind/main from your cov... come on now.
why things are the way they are, from a writer who didn't bother to consider us fans, customers, and players. The question of what or how the shadowlands were made was never even a concern or question or curiosity (in the story), so going here means nothing. What id does mean is that the writer is forcing us to care about what they want, and isn't considering what we might like in our game. Who stuck up for those of us who don't want so much cosmic spectacle? I feel like those of us who would rather wonder and uncover hints about this stuff, while finding important our cultures and places, are being asked to leave, and the writer doesn't care if we leave or not as long as cosmic and reveals are common. That we're dropping everything we've discovered in the shadowlands for a different shadowlands is very sad. Not so much just from a story point of view, but knowing that that writer is doing this, makes me have not faith that they are keeping us or our characters or the game characters in mind when they choose these things.'grand' spectacle, which is what this cosmic stuff is, to me isn't as compelling or meaningful or interesting as meeting peoples and going places. I didn't ask for answers to what made the shadowlands, and playing since 2004 I didn't want to someday know that named beings and their factories were even a possibility. I think the game and story is better when we don't know these facts, and when we aren't part of them.Tauren revere the sun, night elves, elune, and so on for many cultures, so they wouldn't be happy about zerith mortis or that existence is plastic and made by factories. They wouldn't be wearing the tier from this place as it represents existence being decided for is. I don't know which is worse, the reveal or that the writer didn't consider us fans, payers, customers and what we find fascinating. Sure some may like this stuff, but those people just got an expansion in a dimension, and now another dimension that made that one? And so on? You can only like that so much before it becomes meaningless, or, you can only explore that so much before it doesn't matter to the kind of story you're presenting. You didn't make us wonder what made the shadowlands, so going there isn't an answer or even a question or a discovery or reward. It's just another place that the writer tells us to care about but doesn't invite us to care. It's kind of wrong for the game creators to assume we appreciate zerith mortis or anything to do with it. I would have liked it not in the game or story at all, and get more hints and clues and be able to wonder about stuff than being so directly involved with cosmic stuff. Why introduce to the shadowlands or how it works, when none of it matters now that there is another place that makes the shadowlands? What's the point of understanding that there is a shadowlands or how it functions? If we're trying to make it so the shadowlands and the cycle and existence, etc, doesn't operate the way it does, means to me that we would not be finding curious or championing zerith mortis, another determiner of our reality. Were we fans and customers considered by the writer? Did the writer feel the need to make zerith mortis, and what made zerith mortis, what made that, and so on, and it seems that the writer keeps going back further to explain things, when I think what players love are our peoples and places we explore. This is grand for the sake of being grand, and is meaningless. Worse than meaningless, it proves the writer cares more about being explicit than thinking about what we like and writing that. Pandaria, tauren culture, mage lore, etc, don't need perfect reveals of reveals of reveals for us to be interested in them, and the more revealed, the less fun it is to wonder. I feel like a lot of wonder is ruined, and that the writer is taking moments away from us and the game. For those who keep wanting lists of answers, then you now have a game that is all about explaining things to you. My opinion is that I like to wonder about stuff, and my concern is that once all you who love being told what's what by the writer, there will be nothing left to wonder about the game will become more empty. I feel like the writer is forcing us and our characters to care about this cosmic stuff, and the writer is choosing to not consider us. There's something wrong wtih that. Our characters' faiths and beliefs have been ruined by the reveal of everything is made and plastic, and they wouldn't be putting this place's gear on knowing all the stuff regarding the shadowlands, existence, and zerith mortis, etc, is stuff that really shouldn't be a thing and shouldn't be deciding stuff for us. Seeing our character championing this place and wearing these pieces is like a traitor to all. If npc wore zerith mortis gear then met with the soul of their loved one in shadowlands, it'd be one of the worst things they could do.
