Good god...I was hoping they'll get rid of this cancer but it seems it will take an expansion or two until they realize how horrible is this "very rare" fiasco.
As things are going , in the next expansion every boss gona give different ilvl gear :D
Oof. On the positive side: No annoying 6 ilvl gap between the first 3 bosses and the bosses after that. On the negative side: 1. this absolutely stupid idea of splitting the raidloot into tiers is still there. The first bosses are so completely useless after a few weeks (apart from the "very rare" items).2. "Very rare" drops are still there. It's >not< fun to clear the raid every week, the "very rare" item drops once and 20 people are rolling on it. It is possible that you don't get it for weeks, if ever. You are even forced to play the vault to get them, but this only really works with alts, hf with your main. Furthermore, as an M+ player, it is very annoying that these items are significantly better than everything that is available in M+. 3. Because the 6 ilvl gap no longer exists, the loot in raids was buffed even more. Raiding was by far the best content for gear even before 10.1. You get much better loot much faster (tier sets, trinkets, special op weapons(hunter bow say hello)). It's ridiculous that you only get 431 loot for M+ 20s, that's loot on the level of the 4./5. heroic boss, for massively harder content. That the endchest gives such bad loot is no longer justified by anything. The number of items per run is also abstrusively low (and do not argue that you can farm dungeons as often as you want. That's true on paper, but the maximum ilvl is 19(!) ilvl lower than the max ilvl you can get in 10.1 ("very rare" items not even included) and just calculate the item/hour rate per person to see how "good" this argument is. 2 items per dungeon for 5 people with a time investment of 40-50 minutes per dungeon (and that's still nicely calculated, it can take much longer to find a group for your desired dungeon with the new upgrade system!). Have fun to get your loot. Upgrading is also capped at 441, and only if you have (thanks new system) the right item from a 17s (also much harder than most Heroic bosses). It's nice that it's much easier to get items from the first 5 heroic bosses than from content that most people do. I can't understand why you can't upgrade the item tier. No one likes to farm his items 5x.It's completely ridiculous that you can upgrade your gear better with crafting than by playing the game mode you enjoy. I mean, the new crafted system (so far) is good (getting nerfed 100%), but it feels bad to be far behind in all aspects (to be competitve you need to raid, just because of the "very rare" items and if you don't want to wait 10 weeks (lmao) for your tier set (2-4 for raiders, max.). You also have to consider that M+ is played significantly(!) more. The endchest in M+ should drop 3 items instead of 2. Also buff the ilvl by one tier (19s/20s would drop 434 ilvl). used to be the standard for ages.
So what ilvl can over world players expect? Are we still going to be in the crapper?
Where is the 2handed sword "Ashkandur, Fall of the Brotherhood"?Did it get removed or it is just a normal item?
What's rare with unique OP stats/procs/abilities AND inflated ilvl rewards from M+?Crickets! đ„±đŽ
Since I am not planning to play survival, I can finally sit back, relax and let others not get the very rare weapon that only drops when you don't need it anymore. Awesome
Dragonflight gearing has been the best of any expansion we've ever had. Keeps content relavent with super rares, good. I didn't know they were that rare tbh, I see them drop every single week. @-@And without doing any raids and no M+ dungeons, my friends are 400ilvl. That's casual gear from questing and a few timewalks.
Feels great how they test a dinar system which was widely loved, and they still dont implement a similar system for very rare items.Maybe one day I will get an Icon, maybe not.
What is the ilevel requirement for LFR? just to know how far i need to gear up my new alts.
