love reading interviews like this
Pretty ho-hum interview. Fairly certain most of everyone is more concerned with where the final stress test and server name announcement is.
Massive population should not be problem on current hardware. At 2004 we had mostly 32bit 1 core cpu.CPU was slower least 20 times than current ones, and there were no ssd drives, way slower network connections and much much more slowe. Layering ? maybe for start zones, however playing at release dates always been fun, no matter of stealing mobs, waiting for spawns, queues etc, it was part of game, and it was fun.
;Part of that problem is prediction; just as Blizzard severely underestimated the interest in the original game, it's hard to know an exact number of how many players will try to log on in August; And ;You think you do but you dont; end of Blizzard ques------------------ Blizzard sitting president, he has no right to state this π’ still awaiting company apology later on. We can forgive this but i hope Blizzard say sorry later on. They are hyper busy now thats ok but true is they need remember their mistakes too and respect it... fans founded company misguided.. respect both side is win win situationβ--ββ----β---------I hope Blizzard now learn this lesson after 15 years they simple cannot put words in customers moucht. I found that second que was kinda rude and he was DEAD wrong about it.
Is phase 1 active from the beginning or becoming active some time after the launch?
What we really needed to hear was info about server names, stress test etc. Not a rehash of what we have been hearing for months during beta.
