Tomkek continues his journey through updating classic World of Warcraft mounts. Check out how good this Epic Kodo mount can look as Tomkek walks us through his process - and the result? Well, check it out:
For this video, I switched factions, and decided to give the Horde some love. The Kodos were one of the most common requests that I got, so It was only right for me to follow the will of the people. Considering I am planning on remaking every mount in classic wow, this won’t be the last time you see me betray the Alliance either, so stay tuned for more to come.

Meanwhile, Blizz:
"Oh this will cost you a raid"
No, Blizzard. It will cost you one guy's salary.
I don't see why they should spend even 5 minutes on a mount people barely use tbh

You can't just hire and endless army of artists and let them go wild on whatever old model they want to. At one point you will have a wildly inconsistent look in the game and no QC/QA at all. The WoW team is already scaling up and we will probably see more reworks in the future, but you can't go from 0 to 100 in a short amount of time. Also while a rework like this won't cost a raid, it does cost new stuff. Instead of reworking an old model, that person could use the time for a new mount model or a new weapon model. It's always a matter of prioritization and what is more important for the game.
I also think that old stuff needs to be brought up to new standards though (not just mounts) and I hope that will get more attention in the future.
"wildly inconsistent"
Yeah, imagine that.
That's just crazy. Blizzard professionals would never churn out wildly inconsistent models.

That's not really wildly inconsistent. That's "all the animals on the Dragon Isles have draconic features" which you can clearly see in the model. They still have considerable similarities.
... I'm not talking about the conceptual design. I'm talking about the art style.
Like this.
That's not inconsistent. You do realize that more than one species of an animal archetype can exist, right? There isn't just one turtle species in real life and a lot of them look incredibly different from each other. The Dragon Isles isn't the same continent as Zandalar or Pandaria. Divergent evolution.
It's a lot more consistent than you're trying to make it seem.
?
You're literally talking about milk while I'm talking about bread. Then I say I'm talking about bread and you continue to ramble about milk. Jesus Christ.

You *literally* posted a photo of two reptiles with different scales and head morphologies suggesting that's proof of the art style being "inconsistent". Saying that they're different because they come from different places and could've experienced divergent evolution is an apples-to-apples comparison that refutes your point, unlike your analogy which is WAY off the point.
