I feel sorry for the creator to have all these comments crapping on what they've done. Despite obvious lighting problems, I think it's a very good approximation of Ironforge in a completely different style. Everything looks the same basic shape (aside from that Dwarf statue at the entrance). I can quite clearly make out what is supposed to be what. Clearly a lot of time and effort has been put into this, and I believe that alone deserves to be applauded. Not disrespected because it isn't perfect. This isn't a Blizzard product, it's a fan labour of love. There's no need to tear it down.
Amazing work but the lights look weird to me.
You mean the 20 year old @#$% gfx?
I apreciate the work put into this, but for me, its worse then current Ironforge. It has no soul, seems like a generic game number 576, they all look the same.Doesnt feel like Ironforge at all.
While it's an admirable/ambitious feat, it lacks the finesse of the projects from Daniel L.
That looks so awful.
it looks cool. But is also shows how bland the desgine is of some of the non major cities.maybe next expansion make 1 of them the main focus.
How about no? It's all bloom...
I really loved that video of Ironforge. I really wish we could interact with more object in-game like we can in other games. It would be nice to have that in WoW 2 - If we ever get WoW 2 - New planet, new world, and new upgraded unreal 4 animations where we can interact with more objects. :) I notice the mailboxes were not there. I will assume mailboxes are alike NPCs. The airplanes and their movement were awesome. I don't recall seeing it in-game but now I must go look. Thanks again.
... I do not like this, at all. And if you hadn't told me it's supposed to be Ironforge, I wouldn't have been able to guess. I'll take Blizzard's hopefully inevitable visual revamp of the city.
Amazing...for ps2
Not gonna lie, this looks worse than the actual game. Every surface is shiny and is so angular. A lot of these look good (I love the Elwynn Forest one) but this is isn't great to look at.
doesnt look anything like wow or capture the feel of ironforge
The screenshots are reminding me of the pre-rendered backgrounds in the PS1 Final Fantasy games.Like, if you compressed them, you could stick Zidane or Squall in there and it would look perfectly fine.
Everything is way too #$%^ing bright and glossy.
Amazing ! Too bad it's alliance 🙄😂
3D artist here. It's impressive that he went and did the whole city outside and inside, but he should have first focused on 1 room, get the shading, lighting and textures right, and proceed to expand from there. Sadly, there's simply no satisfying piece to look at, it all feels rushed.
