I am a fan of dwarves, I know Tolkien's work and many other fantasy worlds... and the issue of bearded female dwarfs seems horrible to me, because they really only exist in Middle Earth (and because of a somewhat dodgy entry in the Silmarilion) and for the laughter in Discworld... apart from that, bearded female dwarfs do not exist, and here all the happy-go-lucky Legolas have bearded female dwarfs... well /clap, I have never liked them and never will. It's fine for those of you who like this Tolkien lore, but you just have to respect those of us who think it's a kick to the wow lore, which has never had bearded lady dwarfs until now.Don't speak for everyone as if those of us who don't like this are fools. It's like when people think that zombies only eat brains...when that only appears in two movies (the return of the living dead saga) and in all the rest of the movies zombies eat everything...it almost seems the Mandela effect, the beards and female dwarfs (and only brain zombie eaters xD).
My only issue with the Earthen is that I REALLY wish they had crystal/metal/mineral hair and beard options.
I've always loved the female bearded dwarf concept, especially as an EQ1 player.Does feel a little odd that they had two decades to add it into the game, and only decided just now to add it.Is it available only for Earthen?
Been waiting a long time for proper dwarven women, I know I will be making one! I am so glad Blizz refuses to capitulate and pander to the other side.
I think that Earthen/dwarven women should have huge, magnificent hair the way dwarven men style their beards, but for some reason huge hair is unfeasible, yet ENORMOUS beards aren't.I'm not buying it.I want hair down to their waists, done up in elaborate braids and loops and ornamented with fine metals and gems. A Dark Iron with a huge mane of literally fiery orange hair hanging over her shoulders. Not... this."BUT TOLKIEN--"The man was the father of the modern fantasy genre, but his works aren't sacrosanct, otherwise we'd be playing Lord of the Rings Online, not Warcraft. We'd still have uruks being birthed from muddy pits and be indisputably, eternally wicked and bloodthirsty, and 90% of fantasy settings would be centered around the various types of trees and getting from Point A to Point B rather than epic battles. We'd have magic be subtle and mysterious, rarely ever bombastic and explosive. Elves wouldn't be purple, orcs couldn't be kind, and mighty enchanted weapons would have the incredible power to... glow. You get the drift.
I get blizzard is trying to be all inclusive and supporting but noone asked for female rainbow dwarves with beards. This is clown territory
