Really? You don't think that blizzard is going to give them a new model? Since that's what they are slowly doing to all the old ^&*!ty models of animals in the game. I doubt they make a glyph and then just leave us with the old model. Wouldn't mind them updating glyph of the cheeta either. In fact please update all cats and sabers!
Hope there will be some glif to stop autoshifting as well. -_-Its super anoying when i tap my fly form only to find out there was not enough time after combat yet ... and end up as elk. :-/ Especialy when i do this jumping off some tower in PvPWQ areas.
Finally!I'd really like to see the glyph panel come back, though, it's infuriating having to buy the same glyph four times just so you can play all your specs with the glyphs you like. The removal of that was one of the least intuitive/least sensible moves they ever made.
finnaly :)
OMFG FINALLY. Thankyou.
I just want it back the way it was. I hate jumping out of water and turning shapes back and forth, it is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. And it makes me sad.
I think the title of this article is misleading folks. The glyphs do not add multiple buttons for the various forms like old school druids used to have a Bear, Cat, Travel, Flight, Aquatic...the single button that controls aquatic, flight, and travel still remains. You do not get a flight form button separate from travel form button or likewise a separate aquatic button. I think Wowhead should have titled and worded this article better because the initial thought when reading is Blizz finally listened to feedback and is letting us have the choice of the new multi function travel button or the old way of doing things having separate buttons. In reality the ONLY thing this article is covering are glyphs. Currently if you want your aquatic form to look like an orca instead of a seal like spawn of satan, you can do that. However, if you do that, you can't make your travel-land form look like a cheetah because the two glyphs are mutually exclusive. What is being covered in this article is, that restriction is now gone. You can apply a new "skin" if you will to each form you take. So you can make your aquatic form look like a dolphin at the same time your travel-land form looks like a doe. To apply a glyph means you have to activate the glyph and then click on the spell in the spell book you want to apply it to. Previously the reason shape shift glyphs for instance like Cheetah and Orca were exclusive was because when you applied the glyph, it applied it to the master shape shift button Travel Form. So when you activated that ability it would show only the last glyph applied to it. Because you couldn't see the other forms that travel form covers in the spell book, you were unable to apply the glyph to the actual form, only the spell that controlled the three forms. In actuality, that spell would only apply the last glyph activated on it and not multiple glyphs. By adding the other forms into the spell book as passive abilities, it lets your apply the glyph to the form and not the spell controlling all three forms. Thus the restriction is no longer needed. At the end of the day what does this mean? Well it means you can modify the way your aquatic, travel, and flight forms look like separately; however, from a UI perspective you will not see a change, you still only have a single button to use, sorry.
I'd rather them let us use all three forms at will and give choice back to the player. Mostly because I can't stand the epilepisodes every time I run through a puddle, but also because the only time the demon seal would be useful is if you could flop around a main city as it out of water (at a reduced speed of course).
I hope they will return separate buttons for each form. Auto-button was bad idea from the beginning.Firstly they added separate button for elk. Now are separate abilities for glyphs.
Or...the forum input happened to coincide with changes they planned on implementing in the first place.Maybe I'm just cynical.
So it looks like Travel Form is also separate, so does that mean that you can now choose to be stag form in areas you have flight? That was something I was hoping for as well
I proposed this kind of solution from thte start of Legion in multiple forum threads addressing this issue.
People talking about the forms being separate buttons; they aren't. Take a closer look, the flight and aquatic are "passive", and travel is the only actual button. So it'll still be the same button, but with this we'll be able to change the appearance. That said, I found the most annoying part of travel form being "collected" to be in wanting to use travel (stag) form places I can fly. However, there's an easy solution through buying an item from a vendor in Moonglade; this allows you to use stag form without going into flight form. I hope this helps someone. :)
