What's with their fixation on making all the content from previous patches borderline pointless after such a short time? These things are dead during the patch they're released, then like. Not dead enough, in Blizzard's eyes, I guess.
next, they need to cut the speed of dragon riding mounts in half.
End of expansion, dead game. Why nerf it? Making rep last longer won't help with engagement for the game.
Makes sense to exclude the new rep, bit silly to also nerf its effect for older reps.At least we'll be getting a renown token from the The World Awaits weekly event, we didn't have one for Loamm the entire time it was relevant and now 10.2 is adding one for Loamm and one for Dream Wardens. Be a free level of Renown on December 12, just after the 19%+10% buffs from the anniversary and DMF/Pilgrim's Bounty end.
Oversight, or Fun Detected? It feels bad anyway.
Sounds like they had this in the works for the PTR build that was coming back up today, and the decision to remove renown reqs from PF was separately made later in the day. Unlikely they revert the rep gain at this point, but looks like a double dip because one team didn't speak to the other before making a change.
Yeah, I was expecting this. The whole using tokens to boost your way through the rep grind was kinda busted anyway. Maybe this means I can chill on week one of the patch instead of killing myself farming rep.
Haha.gif ~NelsonYup, saw this coming. They did EXACTLY the same with Loamm Niffen, which by the way is STILL not part of weekly accord that rewards 500k rep with each faction AND not even part of Weekly Bonus Event, this week being WQs that rewards 1.5k rep token for a faction of your choosing.
In human society that is considered a %^&* move.
I really don't see the point in why they're doing this, they could simply exclude the new faction as they have done and move along.
Honestly my only issue with the rune is that it should be a Toy that's account shared. I get that they don't want the faction content to be done within a week, so this nerf is absolutely within expectations, but the idea that every character you want to play competitively is required to farm the rep is just dumb.
