Boosting communities were much easier to access for many players who do not have a guild group for boosting. I've been effectively locked out of acquiring enough gold to purchase BOEs and consumables the guild can't provide for next tier and M+ and such because I don't have a regular group to do boosts with. Regular play just doesn't generate the absurd amount of gold you spend on consumables and legendaries and BOEs and other things that provide a very large benefit when trying to complete difficult content.I also really hope they implement cross faction guilds in 10.0. I want to return to dwarf but I'm not shelling out real money for it twice a patch.
Eh you can still buy a boost from people you find in a site or discord, they just need to have people on your realm. What it will do is kill boosting in low pop realms which probably will lead even more people to quit or transfer. Also really, RMT being a problem but gold being OK feels like hypocrisy when the Token exists.
Finally prices on BMAH will become more affordable after this pest burns out their gold reserves. You dont cry after the drug dealer leaves your neighborhood you are just glad they are gone.
The cross-fraction change will be very good and probably brings alot of fairness into the game. It was definitly needed. But the new boosting policy is just horrible. The Chat and LFG spam couldve been resolved with just banning and prohibiting the advertisement. Without boosting there goes a BIG part of content for skilled people. When clearing the content fast, the most entertaining part is boosting. No one gets harmed by boosting. People want to get boosted and people want to boost. It was a win-win situation. And also Blizzard won, with people buying WoW-Tokens for realmoney. Its just horrible.
