Freehold is in there because of pirates, which will be part of 11.0. Same with Titan involvement in Underrot. I think S3 dungeons will all involve the Emerald Dream, Titan tech, or Void themes. Or pirates, if there are any more of those lol.
Dont do Scarlet monastery, turn that into a mega dungeon this season and put it in next season or next expansion as dungeons. Lets you revamp it and make it interesting.Scholomance would be nice, its 4 bosses. it has trash but the trash doesnt really add a "timer" problem to it. You will pull trash boss to boss like you always do, sure you can make it hard hitting or high health pools, but that would just be frustrating. Scholomance bosses are so close together its gross. Would be a 20minute timer.Mogu'shan Palace has the perfect level of distance between bosses. I would make it so you must clear all trash BEFORE the 2nd boss tho as people would just ledge jump every time and skip half the trash.Stormstout is probably a perfect dungeon for M+ with out any changes.Everbloom is just so over done, we have it every timewalking it comes up 2-3 times some times and the trash is not interesting, some of the mechanics on the bosses are just frustrating to deal with. Third boss is probably the best in the whole dungeon mechanic wise as its a punish vs reward system.Skyreach.. ARGHHHHHHHHH skyreach.. perfect levels of trash, perfect trash between bosses, nothing can be crazy pulled BUT the wind tunnel section sucks, pugs can just die to it. Id just turn it off as its a pointless experience. put some trash on the platform instead you have to fight.Darkheart is what im expecting next season, it is M+ ready, it is Emerald dream themed story wise, With out knowing if there is corruption in the emerald dream it still fits the theme. Seat is fine, it needs a hard nerf from what it was in the day tho. it was one of the worst dungeons in the expansion simply because of its level of complexity in the final room. Trash was just abundant aswell. First boss usually wiped groups and bricked keys cos nobody knew what to do. Its levels of learning that would be required is insane.Eye of Azshara is fine, its very played out as we have had it in not only the mythic pool but in the timewalking one, but the same goes for darkheart. There isnt any actual problems with azshara apart from the travel time between trash packs let alone bosses.Atal'dazar no thank you, the gold boss is all im thinking of and it was the worst boss ive ever seen. If one pug screws that up so many people will just leave the keys. The council fight was nice, utilized most of the classes mechanics and CCs. Final boss raptor was dumb. The major problem however is the 2nd boss, Coffin knocking leaves room for trolling. And its after the molten gold boss so people that think they were bad could just troll the hell outa them and open multiple doors forcing a wipe. Any mechanic that has player interacting with something to do something should just be off the board.Waycrest, Id nerf sisters but outside of that there is no real reason to not put this on the list. The gear is nice for everyone, the encounters are fun, the trash between pulls is strong but manageable.Sethraliss has a gauntlet, again, anything that can punish a player is bad. Not to mention it would be the 2nd punishing gauntlet in the season with dawn of the infinites coming out. I dont want nor expect this one this season.id like to throw in: Motherloade. Its fights are really fun , its a quick dungeon, has a reset. Really is one of the best dungeons design wise they have done in a long time.UBRS (Warlords edition) simple and fast. Gate of the Setting sun. I would revamp the 2nd boss and tune the 3rd boss, maybe change the last boss to include something worth tanking.Escape from Durnholde- hear me out, escape is fun, has a massive map with mounting allowed. its fighting is located in 2 major areas and has 4 bosses. I would make it so thrall moves faster after the 3rd boss. I would also put another boss on the bridge along the road. I dont see this happening as they have kind of locked up the infinite story with the chromie quest this patch but a girl can dream.Ramparts - Another great iconic dungeon that has fantastic map layout and trash levels. Encounters would be updated ofcourse but offer the items WITH sockets as a reward. Not to mention molten polearm or 2handed healing hammer any one, Evokers druids and paladins would love that.Arcway and Court of stars. How we didnt get court of stars and arcway together i will never know. As most people know the items that drop in there are a set in two dungeons yet was unobtainable. Chrono shard is a casters best in slot and one of the best things they have ever made. Arcway not only offers route diversity but also offers Unique encounters that are not to hard. Court is balanced already. It is probably to soon for court tho so if court isnt coming, save arcway.Dungeons i DONT want to see:Cathedral of Eternal night - really is just horrible. It was over tuned, it has to many 1 shot mechanics, the bosses are confusing to new players and the end boss has a clickable that if used incorrectly wipes the group at 50%. Halls also had this issue but the halls one worked because it was a base dungeon that everyone enjoyed in content.Blackrook hold- Im just getting granny bacon flash backs and i dont think thats even teh worst part. Anybody who did BRH in content as a high M+ would remember fortified Shoot. Its a random ability, it 1 shots you above a 15 which can be tuned down but we just dealt with pelters and id like a non random mechanic. The trinket is broken and needs to have a hard tuning pass before even being considered.Tol'Dagor, Siege of Boralus and Shrine of the storms- Three of the worst dungeons in BFA simply because of their bug issues. Left a bad taste in my mouth. From Clipping and pulling the entire dungeon to getting 1 shot by a mechanic you are clearly LoS from to over powered mind flayers and the ability to troll in any capacity on that bridge section, Not to mention the 2nd boss actually being a hard mechanic check vs anything else.SFK is to long, its 30minutes in a at level group. Throw in M+ health pools and you suddenly have a 45-1hour dungeon timer. Diseases sucked in brackenhide and were nerfed to do basically nothing from the time of launch to season 2, but curses are a whole different story. Slow curse, add curse, damage curse. Limited Curse removal to two dispels or a dragon every minute and it just becomes a dumb system.
Honestly, I just want to see dungeons that have never been M+ dungeons before be in the pool. Draenor and prior only. I am definitely down for Scarlet Halls/Monastery, as well as Scholomance and Shadowfang Keep. I hope we don't see any S1 dungeons show up again though. I hated RLP and Azure Vault specifically.
Not eye or darkheart.... i have done them to DEATH. Levling, Tiemwalking in Legion.Take one of the later released dungeons like Seat, Kara or the other one in the temple. The farther away the better.Halls of Origins was an amazing dungeon.
AA, NO, Upper DotI, lower DotI, Everbloom, DHT, Siege of Boralus, and Siege of Niuzao (because the raid is going to be siege themed too)I think some changes to the 2nd and 3rd bosses of SoNT and it could definitely work for M+And changes to the trash (reduce amount of trash across the board, but also nerf Spotters), graveyard locations, and the last boss of SoB could make it much more appealing than it was in BfA
Maw of Souls is was a lot of people want to return. I loved that dungeon. Maybe add some more trash to make it longer
Hopefully no really old dungeon. VP is trash. And hopefully they are increasing the dungeonpool size, 8 are way to few. With the additon of the mega dungeon, they should increase the pool to 10. 2 x Megadungeon 4x df 4x old
It must be stonecore so we can have a worm boss every season it must be
Cata section feels like someone did most of the assignment and left the last section for minutes before deadline and just threw something on the paper with no explanation or development.
The theme of the patch in no way plays into what old dungeons are picked. Historically, the majority of them have absolutely nothing to do with the expansion/patch.none of these related to the expansion/patch that they were brought back for:
Should keep going further back and add a WotLK dungeon, we need Halls of Lightning M+ to tear groups apart.
At the risk of starting an argument, Why all the hate on HOI? Is it because they fixed something that honestly shouldn't have been there to begin with? đŸ˜‰
strongly disagree with:Scarlet Halls and Scarlet MonasteryScholomancemainly due to this being CLASSIC dungeons, even if they were revamped they were classic dungeons. Where it could work for m+ - all classic dungeons could work in this logic loop. We are not currently getting classic dungeons. The rest are possibilities yes, you can thinking cap that all day long.
They want to include a Shadowlands dungeon. The post is not even mentioning it.
I can tell you the dungeons: dawn of the infinite part1 + part2, king's rest, siege of boralus, seat of the triumvirate, grim batol, the everbloom, shado-pan monastery
Yay! More garbage upscaled and sold as if it was new! Trademark of this expansion at this point... and Blizzard wonders why no one wants to buy it.
I love the speculations of the M+ rotation fitting into the lore for the patch.Because Court of Stars or Temple of the Jade Serpent made perfect sense to be thrown in, when the patch was all about the elemental dragons and their return. The inclusion of Halls of Valor due to the involvement of the Titans with the dragons is enough of a stretch to justify that one, I guess. But the other three had nothing to do with that content. For Season 2 we got the pirate dungeon, the old and rotten titan facility, the air elemental dungeon and the cave that a dead aspect presumably lived in for a while. I could kinda see the reason for including Neltharion's Lair. But the other three? We didn't really care about the Titans this content, so why would that be a reason to include Underrot? And the other two dungeons definitely have no real reason. Also, saying that dungeon were included for being fan favorites feels really stretchy, when they threw in Halls of Valor, which was probably the least liked key of all, even if just because of how it was double the length of Maw of Souls. And the inclusion of none M+ dungeons makes it really hard to say, if the dungeons are fan favorites, because outside of challenge mode for cosmetics there was no reason to care about WoD or Pandaria dungeons at all.
