@tcws: Your last post is exactly the reason why I usually don't quote whole posts. Walls of text, walls of text... srsly lol, you quoted your own stuff again and again - that doesn't help adding any more sense to it, sorry. As I said, have your opinions about religion, WoW and everything you want - but you will not forbid me to have mine. Take your aggressiveness elsewhere, I'll continue to enjoy the lore discussions and upcoming Shadowlands expansion as I see fit. :)
I suspect we don't have to worry too much about Bridenbrad. He's based on a RL person who died of cancer (hence the uncurable plague) who was the brother of a Blizz employee.I suspect messing with his afterlife is a RL line Blizz would not cross. Fortunately he died well before the anima drought and folks going to the Maw consistently, so that's nothing they'll have to explain away.Has anyone on the beta stumbled on him? My guess is that we simply won't see him -- or maybe we'll see him in 9.1, 9.2, or 9.3 when the war against the Jailer has advanced further.
I always wondered for one thing. Wouldn't it be possible that in Wow there was nothing. From nothing came Light and Void.In endless/eternal war of these two, was born physical plain and something valuable like SOUL.A child of both. The first Soul made a contact with their parent. And seeing that they want to consume each other they would gladly use any source which would give them Upper hand in this. From world soul there were born other lesser ones, which were fuel. (doesn't matter demon soul / or mortal soul and etc...) It was mostly a fuel for these two twin beings to have upperhand on each other. What if the point of shadow-lands was to hide this fuel from both of them ? We know that Void are sending old gods to corrupt world soul and use them to destroy everything in physical plain. But Void can't touch undead (I can't actually remember this one. But do correct me) Could it be that the first Soul tried to hide and save his children and other beings from Void and Light. As Void and Light have great influence on souls ))) Maybe Shadowlands is a realm there Light and Void aren't able to corrupt them or find them.Remember that both of them are influencing souls to join them or use them as a "religion" (if someone is offended by this term please don't). Promising them something they don't know to take control of them and use them after. To unbound them from Shadowlands. I know there is emerald dream and etc. But i believe these one are prototypes of ShadowLand.
Theory: Jailor is a fallen Titan imprisoned in the shadowlands by Aman’thul. The Jailor is the father, brother/twin, or son of Aman’thul. His existence predates all of the other named titans except aman’thul. Aman’thul put him in the shadowlands because 1) the jailor is an actual bad character and Aman’thul could not kill him but lock him away from reality or 2) the Jailor opposed aman’thul for some reason which necessitated him being locked away. I do believe however the Jailor could be viewed as not entirely as a good character, it’s likely his existence could require the extreme deprivation of something from others around him. Hence the extreme drought of anima in the shadowlands, the Jailor needs alot of it to survive (or achieve his goals). The Jailor being throw into the shadowlands, landed in a version of the maw that was not like how it is now. His existence likely drew up the anima in the zone to warp it like it is, and once he grew stronger he siphoned off anima from other areas. Additionally we know that Odyn wanted to look into the shadowlands so he sacrificed his eye. That task could have been given to him since he was the prime designate (aka best buddies with aman’thul). Aman’thul wanted him to watch over the Jailor ensuring that he did not grow strong. Naturally, he was locked away by Helya (keep note of her), and thus probably wasn’t good at keeping his vigil.Accelerate this to know and the Jailor likely bargained with sylvanas as a way to get him out of the maw for him to seek revenge upon the pantheon and more specifically Aman’thul. I think Argus being the titan of death does have an interaction with the Jailor but the Jailor does not represent or work exclusively with death. I think he is the decay or entropy Titan. Who’s existence is sustained by or became to be sustained by the siphoning of anima from mortals. He is essentially sort of like the WoW equivalent of a dementor.

RemovedLike I pointed out: mograine is in maldraxxus. why? because the in-game cutscenes state that because maldraxxus is undergoing an upheaval against the current regime who appears indistinguishable to the scourge, therefore mograine was chosen to go there because he is experienced killing scourge. that's basically it. not exactly a very well-reasoned or coherent pitch for an afterlife, but it is a bit of novelty to justify the current story and neither blizzard or the playerbase will even care about the shadowlands or wow afterlives once this expansion is gone and over.So therefore as long as nothing happens in story that is just there to be insulting for the sake of twitter kudos, I don't really care about it. When it is, I speak out about it.Remvoed
so they throw argent dawn rep at you for absolutely no reason, we wont even use it for anything at all. I just did week 2 on a horde character through to completion. Not really impressed with anything in this pre patch on ptr so far.
Azeroth is alive and well in Las Vegas, where she spends her evenings wearing an eyeshade and playing several one-armed bandits at a time.
I got a Beta invitation late last week and have been playing mostly the leveling experience since. Blizz was smart enough to introduce the player, after a brief set of quests in the Maw, to one of the more visually pleasant zones, Bastion, first. (I know there will be players who enjoy the barren and/or putrescent areas, but I think most of us enjoy questing in visually appealing surroundings.) All in all, it's better than I expected, though I find the whole "what happens after you die" thing pathetic. If you can ignore that (and what is fantasy MMO but willing suspension, kicking, trampling, tearing, shredding, spindling, and mutilating of disbelief, right?), so far, it's fun. My only complaint is the "Why do I have to kill 12 or 15 of whatever, when six or eight would have done just as well?" — and let's face it, I've had that complaint since 2005. Let's just hope they eventually the tedious bits, not that it will matter for people leveling alts, for whom, evidently, there will be a way to skip all of this leveling stuff.
Where is this if you don't mind me asking? We have a lot of discussion about 2 vs 4 weeks and everyone says they "saw" a post confirming one or the other.
Er, I actually have a practical question... "Part 2 of the Death Rising unlocks In the second week and is mostly the same for the Alliance and the Horde. During this week, we head to the Argent Tournament Grounds, where we help the Argent Dawn investigate the invading Scourge, earn a lot more Argent Commendation that we are able to turn in for reputation, and unlock the event's first dailies in Icecrown."I can't find anything else about "reputation" in the guides... if we're not interested in the so-so tmogs, should we be saving these Argent Commendations to turn them in for rep in week two?
