Awesome... It wasn't bad enough before when we were nickle and dimed with 1s orders... now we're gonna have to provide the mats too? What the hell. What a crock.Add a minimum commission = the average cost of the "missing" mats on the AH then.
Now crafters need to pay closer attention. I get personal orders daily with no supplied mats and 100g (less than 1/10th cost of mats). I feel for public orders, leave it so they have to provide mats
I don't get the complaints people post here... nickel and dimed? If the posted commision is below what you expect, don't take the order. Not all mats, and you don't want to spend yours? DON'T TAKE THE FLIPPING ORDER. The truth is, people realized that there are crafters who might be willing to craft AND provide some mats, because that's the only way they get skillups, and so they post low commission or not all mats orders, fishing for such crafters. You don't have to take it if you don't want to.And... the truth is, you DO take them, you lap them up and just whine.Because I have yet to see a single public order of any sort, posted anywhere in EU cluster.
When Blizzard adds the option for buyers to create crafting orders having incomplete materials, then they should do it consequently, and add an option for crafters to filter the public orders for those, where all required mats are provided (and make this filter enabled by default).
I do think that the Public Work Order system should be connected to the AH.It should never allow the reagents to be optional for public... but make it easy by providing the current AH price and auto purchase as part of the the transaction. Reagent costs are added to the base fee and not the commission. And for commission and only for Public WO, it should be a minimum of 10% of the cost of mats on the AH no matter the quality.I don't agree with setting quality unless it is also bound to the commission. If they want any quality then they can set whatever commission they want. But if they want to specify a quality then the commission needs to be adjustable by the quality. if 10% is the minimum for any quality, then 25% for R4 and 50% for R5 items is reasonable for most crafts.
Tell me you are on all the drugs in your state without telling me you are.....that picture is hilarious, it wouldn't cover even a quarter of the cost of the missing mats, but sadly it's also extremely accurate, that's what will be happening with this change.I totally get that it's just for example purposes but still, it's hilarious.
Don't like this option as its already rough on crafters to make back the money and time spent for skilling-up/getting recipes/weekly knowledge points. On the other hand, how about letting customers provide the mettle? I have to pass on many higher level crafting orders as I don't have the mettle and there is no way to guarantee 5 star's without the mettle.
"I'd charge you more to craft my stuff if I could."
Please just make the requirement for solo players easier on recrafts for items lol 418, like people who only make pvp and don't enjoy mythic and raiding lose by not having access to those items for improving the craft. I'm stuck with items on level 405 because of that. :(
Instead they should have the poster make deposit to cover the AH price of mats and automatically pull them from the AH when sold
Should set the commission to that equal the lowest price the items can be bought in the Auction House at the time of placing the order.
This is way more than stupidity , public orders only there for people who dont even know the whole system or cheap people who want to get rank 5 item but also want to pay 1g commission + crafter should provide mats too since there are not enough minus iq people they just go and post as public and hope for the best.If you want to make public orders more alive which is not needed at all anyway but then just remove personal orders and make it public orders all the way but set a minimum amount of commission depending on the crafting ilvl plus crafter shouldnt provide mats in any kind of orders except mettles which is not obtainable via AH.If you go that way and make public orders the only thing it will be big surprise and guess what , there wont be any crafters at all people either gonna make their alts or mains crafter or guild managements should think about this and give some people extra job to keep up.Sadly i feel like they will ruin this system by making it useless but lets see all together.
very useless feature. instead of adding the obvious feature everyone asked for, this addition makes crafting public orders even less meaningful and likely.
