This is a good change, but I do think minimum quality setting for public orders is a necessity. It's bizarre that private/guild orders have it, when presumably you're more likely to just be telling the person directly what you need, vs. public where you have no idea who's going to take it or when.
The only way this should be allowed is that the minimum tip cost should be based on the AH cost of the mats + 1 silver
i have a alliance toon on mal'ganis and cant make any elemental lalraits ect ect this needs to be cross faction or allow horde toons to make them for alliance toons on the same server
I love the pictures in this article.
How about they not make public orders worse for the crafter, because currently its a terrible monetary return WHEN an order is up
now we have 1g commissions, but now without materialsto make it worse just put minimum rank and will be like the big guilds full of items impossible to be done because people want everything rank 5 guaranteed and do not forget the fact of lacking materials or put rank 1i understand that people hate to use trade chat to find someone to craft a item, but public order will never be a good option for itwhy dont just make a option that show people with high skills able to craft the gear?
If they don't add minimum quality this is pointless
Yeah, this will honestly lead to 5g commissions with only the soulbound mats. Then people will complain that it's never used. Personally, I think the idea behind the crafting orders is great. They just need to move the altar of decay for leatherworkers out of the end of a dungeon, Not sure who thought that was a good idea.
The customer: Here's zero mats and 50 gold. Rank 5 please.
Sorry, but this is a bad idea.
I have all the professions but Inscription and leveled 2 of them by only requiring people to post with their BOPs. Otherwise you can't level at all because then people will only use max posters in trade chat. That is the trade off. Who is going to help you level when you can only craft a Q2 and then they have to repost a recraft for a Q5 if you don't absorb some of the cost? This change is slightly positive. Another change needed is the elemental souls. A crafter should be able to have soul cage stocks and people should only have to post sparks/chaos. This would obviously be a hit on engineers posting rediculous zapthrottle prices, but would make it easier on master crafters to repeatedly supply flaring cowls, etc. Plus it would remove one useless bag slot item since my bear will never need another elemental soul again. Engineering also needs a massive overhaul. I have had 0 public orders for weeks. The only way I accomplish the weekly is having an alt ask for 2 bolts and then send it back to my engineer. If the goal of the craft system was to intentionally take 10g from people's alts every week, then I guess a congratulations are in order. Otherwise the system itself is incredibly depressing and unrewarding.
This is a terrible idea. People already do this to me in personal orders sometimes and I have to catch them and remind them.I don't hang onto materials as a crafter. They're constantly dropping in price, so it only makes sense to sell them immediately. This is a stupid feature that will just give public orders griefing.
