Dispellable root? Nice, check. (Though fair point about raid dispel mechanics maybe I do actually hate this)Giant damage zone of gtfo? Nope. Giant debuff of taking more damage? Nope. Please stop punishing healers for others' poor decision making, I'm so tired of this. :(
Appentum: tested again at 50 Corruption with a Tauren Druid, iL412 / 55 Heart after equipping enough Corruption items to reach 50. (Copied an under-utilized alt for this test). The Delusion only hit for 80,706, and Corrupted Zone ticked for 23,059. Perhaps the damage is also scaling based on a character stat (eg: Int for casters) or Heart level?
This is so terrible for tanks and healers. The penalty should have been to damage done. DPS players don't care about incoming damage and will just expect the healer and tank to take care of it while they top the dps charts. It will just lead to less and less tanks and healers wanting to play with pugs in the future, that's for sure.
I don't get it... everyone is hating on literally everything that comes out. I think this is interesting and actually making you play different. And you don't even have to do this. Might even be benificial to not use it for some classes or players who are not comfortable with the mechanics. It is not TF. It gives you a choice. Which you don't have to take unless you are a hardcore Mythic Raider or very high Mythic+ player.Everything that throws us out of the trott is welcome for me. I can't imagine items without a mechanic like this or TF anymore. Loot is not that rare anymore (because we screeeeeeaaaaaamed for alternatives besides raiding and we got it) so just running for one specific item one patch is boring. This way you can get another maybe even better one if you are not lucky with drops.Take mechanics like this out and the wave of loot is just meaningless. May aswell take out loot completly then because in a matter of days you propably would have farmed your BIS Items from mythic+
So, don't use any corrupted gear as a tank. Got it.
So many negative comments over a system that hasn't been instilled or released yet. Blizzard is trying to reward people with continuing content they've already cleared. People hated the titanforging system; so now they are trying a new, fun sounding, tier-related affix to gear. This will only affect "lucky" people, and it adds a sense of strategy to it. "I am willing to pay the price to have 4% more haste from gear". If you don't want it, then don't use it. But at a minimum, keep complaining down until it's been fully tested. It's hard to ask for Blizzard to listen to you when you're screaming witch at them from the start.
Blizzard doesn't listen to the community. This is the worst thing they have ever done.
So LFR will now become harder than Mythic with all the clueless people Friendly Firing team mates and themselves...? Nice!Good thing Blizzard removed reforging because it was "too complex for new players"... oh wait
Even before reading any comments or anyone's reaction to this system my first thought was "Oh man, so many people I know (and certainly pugs) are going to die to corruption mechanics." This seems like it's going to cause a lot of wipes in M+ and Heroic raiding.
I think negative effects are too extreme compared to positive ones and should be nerfed to the ground.
Imho, the cons outweigh the pros, not worth it. Grand delusion straight up one-shots you.
