"mage tower" , more like "worldquest tower"
how can you all claim that the mage tower is overtuned and need further nerfs (even stating that it needs to be leveled to the 7.3.5 tuning) when you see that more and more players are completing it. Every challenge is totally doable in its current state. Every challenge is doable with current SL gear (even with the gear from korthian tokens from my experience). The legacy gear can give you an edge but it is not necessary.The mage tower, when it first came out, was ultra hard as your average joe had maybe 900ilvl and that what Legion TW is trying to replicate here - challenging and demanding solo content in a multiplayer game. The difficulty obviously varied betwen classes for the same challenge but that comes with the territory when you have 12 classes and 36 specs.All I am trying to say here is you folks just need to step up your game and play better. I do not mean this in a spiteful way - playing better, improving upon your every attempt is the play here. Not demanding more nerfs...
The Affli challenge is insane now, the only way it was reasonably managable was because of the exploit. Expecting 200k damage on just raest whilst kiting everything is crazy when frost mage (a spec that can do near full damage whilst moving) has to do 130k is silly. Raest's HP has to be tuned down, or you're in there for 10+ minutes for a kill attempt.
Lol now raest moves off his spot, making the fight much more difficult.
Wait... I agree some of these challanges aren't really easy this time, but for the shadow priest one (twins) i can say without a doubt that its properly tuned. Besides its one of the shorter ones, takes only around 6-7 minutes (which is kinda similar to the Legion version of the scenario), so its much better (imo) to progress through this than the long ones(like xylem, hate that one). You got silence for every single hand (using the talent), adds are dealt with pretty easily. So, I firmly believe that if we have to complain about something, its not this one.Also, people that complain about that sad little outranging exploit taken out, please... if you have to resort to that, forget mage tower (no offense intended).
Twins challenge is bugged now, Raest moves even if you stand right next to him, and as a result - runes spawns in random, non-intended positions. If you defend #$%^ like that with "lel l2p" - you are &*!@#$ed. Spineless bootlickers in a full enrage mode. Any !@#$ #$%^&*!@#s do is cool in their minds and you need to git gud instead. Pathetic.
"bashing your head against a wall" is an interesting way to say poor play. Don't beat around the bush, just say you are struggling mechanically and take the proper steps to improve.
Ive really only tried the new mt as prot pally. Casual heroic raider, but i do try to play kind of decently, usually manage purple parses across the board.My better attempts at kruul i tend to get him to 8-15%. I honestly dont think ill get it because i just dont have the patience to faceslam it repeatedly, and that is completely fine. Probably missing some dmg, but mostly I am an infernal yeet magnet and the vast majority of attempts end with me soaring into the nether.What i would like to see tweaked for the challenge tho.-Inconsistencies in adds spawning(ie-most noticable at the beginning of the fight. One attempt you can get a complete initial burn with full wings and up to 9 debuff stacks and still be waiting for adds. Other attempts you need to bail on the burn at 5 debuff stacks cuz adds are on velen. Also im almost positive infernals can also come in slower/faster but harder to tell-why the f does p1 boss move when silenced by a shield? May be wrong but I dont recall this in legion-fix idiot &*!@# melee velen priest. Idk if its something i do somehow, but some attempts dude just decides to go full melee and just stays on the bosses butt, making it impossible to manage orbs which pretty much kills the attempt
How many of you complaining about so called "cheesing a fight" completed these in legion? Or are you just jealour pricks who are pissed that people are using trinkets and pots and whatever to help complete the challenge?Well, back in legion it was the exact same thing. We had to build out a set of gear that gave us a better chance to beat the challenges. Namely, flasks, pots, runes and 2 legendaries that had specific powers that were BIS. Beating the druid tank challenge with trinkets now versus super powered legendaries back in legion doesn't diminish the accomplishment. Quit complaining and go beat it.
Something can be 'possible' and also 'over-tuned', these are not mutually exclusive things.
The twin challenge is ridiculously more difficult than it was in Legion. I did it before nerfs after countless tries and needed RNG to align (npc and rune spawns in good locations or you are cucked otherwise)
For all of you "git gud" people, the latest change to the Twins completely changes the fight. Raest now moves around and the runes spawn all over the place. Blizzard could have just increased the range of his spell to fix this issue, and that would have been fine. But go do this new version before telling people to stop complaining. The people who HAVE been working on their mechanics to beat the challenge just got majorly screwed over too, because the mechanics have changed.
