This hardcore thing is what happens when you AREN'T a fated hero of destiny, and the spirit healers don't let you come back. RIP in peace. I guess Shaman though are probably less useful in hardcore, considering they can't use reincarnate for anything.
The first sentence is quite misleading. We have our own appeal process for deaths. Not everyone in the Road To Ragnaros event has to have the Soul of Iron buff. In fact, a few of the players don't have it and are using a weak aura to fake it as a meme. We decide which deaths count, not Blizzard's in-game system.
nice progress! keep it up!
Imagine being a druid with only battle rez :P
The only deaths that don't count are the deaths brought on to you by forces outside of ur control. That does NOT include random respawns though, if something spawns and aggroes cuz u're fighting a mob next to it, tough luck, go again.Deaths that ARE appealable though, include getting deliberitely griefed by another player, such as having a player of the opposite faction stay stealthed and wait for u to attack a mob and then mindcontrol the mob right before u attack it, causing you to flag urself for PvP (we're playing on a PvE server) or having a player pull a large pack of mobs, place them ontop of u and freeze them / die to have the mobs aggro onto u, killing u. Obviously u need to be able to prove that this happened.Deaths as a result of disconnects are also appealable if u can provide evidence for it being a disconnect. We've had people at lv 50+ not paying enough attention, running off a cliff and dying to fall damage, they had to start from the beginning.Lost my character at 38 (poor desicions leading to more poor desicions / bad luck), now i'm 45 on my second attempt.
its to prevent griefing. I imagine they wouldn't need to make these rules if there was just a hardcore server where everyone had one life
The hardcore thing has always been cringey to me. All the rules and stuff that people set to dictate how you play honestly ruined SOM for a lot of people.
I think hardcore is really cool and love to watch them raid MC, but can we all agree that these rules have ruined servers? Playing on one of the hardcore servers has left everyone not participating at a huge disadvantage.
We need you in the raid! Dont bother about the rules cuz we make them hekhekhekhekhek
All i got from this post was SoM=No Deaths but if u do die we can use a WA to fake it. This is just wow classic with accelerated leveling. GG
The existence of an appeal counsel makes that challenge a joke. When you kill Ragnaros, make sure you order a fake trophy for your fake achievement 😁
Hardcore is die once, you're dead. The existence of an 'appeal system' completely invalidates the 'hardcore' nature of this project.
lets see em do it with the horde now :)
Man people are dumb, they literally thin player controlled deaths are appealable and are crying about it not being hardcore.Ignoring the fact that UNFLAGGED players can be one shot by warlocks summoning an infernal, or stealth opposing faction can cause an UNFLAGGED player who did NOT chose to pvp, become flagged with an engineering mind control tinker are the kind of things for appeal system, because they are outright grieving that blizzard refused to fix despite may pleas from community (well technically they did fix infernal one, but not other ones)They also have to have literal proof and not just the players word, such as twitch clips to back up that it was a grieved death. But hey, keep getting mad about dumb stuff, you never change wowhead comments section.
Appeal system = I'm just willing to take some of the challenges, not all of them.If you don't have the buff, welcome to the softcore player base.
Now try it on a PvP server.
I'd like to say this kind of stuff is out of the ordinary, but for anyone who is new to this site: welcome to the wowhead comment section. With the most cynical, hate filled, and depressing people the online community has to offer.
