9.2?or 11.2?
I don't get the appeal with tier sets tbh, I mean people complain about gear NOT dropping enough and now the sets with an added bonus (assuming the bonuses are good I dunno) are going to need to be connected. Then again it does mean we get more mogs...
If we all just talk about 9.2, Blizz will have no choice but to believe it themselves and add tier sets next patch, so it's a win-win, I guess
This is horrid for collector's as it means that we are required to get 2400 on all the classes to collect all the limited time sets instead of just on 4 toons (one for each armor type)
Well at least it's not at the end of the expansion....... or will it be?
Nice, we will finally get what we want in 2023
In case people still have noticed - the Blizzard recipe (all franchises)1. Create the secret sauce2. Refine it to near perfection3. Remove part of the sauce to create problems (job security)4. Slowly add back in the parts of the secret sauce that you removed (recent examples - class identity, class utility, valor points, now tier sets)5. Hail them as major new features6. Simultaneously remove or plant the removal of other parts of the secret sauce (we still haven't gotten flying back since the start of Draenor, as an example)7. Head back to #4 and repeat the processI noticed this first at the end of Cataclysm. They spend 6 years - Vanilla through WoTLK, cultivating a casual raider base. Molten Core, Zul Gurub, AQ20, Karazhan, Gruuls Lair, Zul Aman, Naxx 10/25, ToC10/25, ICC 10/25.. then they made problems by making normal mode raiding incredibly hard (relative to previous normal mode) and massacred the casual raid and pug scene. A year later, Dragon Soul comes out and 10 man is back to being casual and pug friendly. This trend has continued ever since, every expansion. You can find an example in almost every patch, but definitely every expansion. Tier sets are this expansion's one. Everyone instantly recognised it as a bad then when it was announced - it was obvious how bad it was and how worthless it made raiding feel, yet they did it anyway. When you cannot discern someone's motives, look at the outcome and discern from that their motives - what is the outcome? They created a lot of hype for the return of tier sets, which in turn means a lot of subscribers and people talking about how the game is improving.Motive then? To cynically mutilate their product, then fix it and present it as a new feature to sell.
Plot twist, they'll go down the ToC route and the difference between a Death Knight and a Warrior will be a tint and maybe a single decal change with set bonuses that only affect class covenant abilities.
cant they just scrap 9.1 and drop 9.2 in 6 months ? nothing in 9.1 excites me tier gear would though . guess i got a long boring wait til 9.2
Oh cool, now just gotta wait 2 expansions to get them!
Tier sets were dumb af. I hate the idea
People: we hate borrowed power .Tier sets are __? That’s right kids, the same thing you crucify them for daily.
