This guide is great as always. However,Did anyone notice how this holiday is firstly, buggy, and secondly, insanely easy to do?
Well I've finished school of hard knocks. Eye of the storm was the worst. Either everyone was intrested in getting the achievement so we would all die trying to cap the flag cuase no one defended towers or the reverse would happen...everyone would organise and we would control 3 or 4 towers and win before I'd get a chance to flag cap. Quite frustrating as I normally actually enjoy the BGs (cept warsong gulch) but trying to do this achievement in there was a pain.
I kind of feel sorry for my sister with the School of Hard Knocks, we would queue into BGs together, then go to get the objective done, every time I would get it done, then as she was trying to get it done, all of the Horde would gang up on her. She did manage to get AV and WSG, so I'm hoping they make it to where it's not required or at least one of the four later.
I just have to kill the king now, fun quick little event but School of Hard Knocks is a pain, partly because instead of competing against the opposite faction, you also compete against yours if you're not in a premade group to get the stuff done. In the ~20 AVs I got into, over half were almost over (since people were leaving the BG as soon as they capped their tower), you have to deal with paladin and death knight mount speed buffs (since they get a head start), and more than once, just before capping the tower a paladin from my own side would bubble me to cap it himself.I'm sure Eye of the Storm would have been worse but I got some really blind luck and got it in my first bg of the day.Great guide! ^_^
I know this question may sound dumb, but one should just return the orphan after they completed all the achievs, right?
I DEMAND TAUREN CHILDREN(female preferably)
For those complaining about the School of Hard knocks and how you shouldn't be forced to PvP for an achievement:Webster gives the definition of an achievement as "a result gained by effort b: a great or heroic deed." Going out and bging to do those objectives is something mildly difficult at most, but it does take some effort.PvP is part of this game; you're basically saying "I don't enjoy this so I shouldn't have to do it." If you don't enjoy it, then don't do it...but don't whine about it. If I don't enjoy instancing, then I should complain about the many ones that are present in the other meta achievements? No, they're easy enough to do, they just take a bit of time. Same with the ones that require level XX (Heroic Gundrak for example). If you want the proto drake enough, then you'll do it. The violet proto-drake is not there to be handed out to just anyone who plays for a year. It takes some dedication and effort to get. And if they do not cover all aspects of the game (though they have no raid achievements), then that would be shallow; how would they pick what to cut out? Unless you want all to be egg hunts...
