I've read a lot of comments and blog entries on this change. In my book it often comes down to a dismissal of this change because it simplifies the game even more. I can understand that reasoning, but have to ask yourself, why you bother. I would think you always saw this as sime first line of defense vs. Noobs. Some Deathknight running around in Stamina / Agility / Intellect gear obviously knew nothing, or very little about his class. I would assume the same. With this change it will become more and more difficult to recognize bad players on first sight. However your PuG experience will increase all over the board. A bad player that equips bad items will do far less damage than a bad player that equips the right item, right? ;-)I can see where the whine is coming from. I can see that this may diminish the diversity of customization through gear. But before you call shenigans, we need a lot more info on mastery for example. Only then we will be able to judge the new system as a whole/2 copper ^^
I foresee a nerf to Blessing Of Kings. With all the extra stats that are going to be on this gear now 10% more of it is going to be overpowered to a point of tooling boss fights with it in mind, and we all know blizzard wants you to "bring the player not the class".
The other thing these stat changes do is really simplify spreadsheets. It's getting impossible to min max for some classes like rogue and hunter and it's kind of ridiculous how complex it is. Generally I say screw it and just use the gear with the highest stats one I hit my hit cap. Let the haste and armor penetration fall where it may! I welcome this change. And if you recal, vanilla wow had no haste or armor penetration (aside from some procs). Even tbc these didn't get added until much later, and we never had any issues then.
I don't know how I feel about these changes, it seems like they are sliding even farther down the "noob friendly" slide. I don't mind making things convienant but making things into no brainers doesn't sound fun...
Attack Power = GONE! Agility now gives 2 ap for rogues, hunters, shamans, and druids!Druids? um may have been said already but druids have AP in the thousands..hows that gonna be fixed?
