This seems like such a bad idea. We know that the Light struck a bargain with the enemy of all. Until we can confirm that this isn't the Jailer then we have to assume the worst.
Denathrius is far better than Renathal imho.
Can't wait for Denathrius to be stolen by the Jailer, and come back as the end boss of a dungeon in the final patch. In honour of one of his prisoners, Revendreth was merely a setback!
That Naaru is so going to die before this expansion ends.
how curious. a naaru in the shadowlands.
Another person in a sword?I know we can't have pre-rendered cinematics for everything, but this seems kinda cheap, but I guess it's a least something :/
Too many flawed things going on already. Number 1 - A naruu doesnt die so how would it end up in the shadowlands? (When a naruu *dies* it falls to the void and becomes a void lord - Think back to Sunwell and M'uru, where Velen straight up tells us they dont die but become fragmented.) Number 2. If the Jailer needs Anduin because of the light, then why didnt he take Z'rali when Denathrius had him captive? Surely a Naruu would be more powerful than Anduin..Number 3. How is the light going to do anything against a sword? The light only seems to bother Venthyr, so how would it have any effect on the sword when it has no effect on the stone gargs or the little servant guys (Tubbins and Gubbins and the whole Ember Ward quest chain?) AND! Denathrius created the Venthyr so he isnt one himself so how would they know that it would have any effect on him?
Next thing you know, the Jailer is going to tell us how Sargeras' sword is the same as Denathrius' and that its absorbing Azeroths soul and that it was part of his whole plan lol. ( Sargeras - Don't look so smug! I know what you're thinking, but my imprisonment was merely a set back. Did you honestly believe I would trust the future to some crazed, tortured Titan (Argus)? Oh no, he was merely an instrument, a stepping stone to a much larger plan! It has all led to this... and this time you will not interfere!........My demise accomplishes nothing! The master will have you! You will drown in your own blood! The world shall burn! Aaaghh!")
Of all the things to wind up in Rivendeth, it's a Naruu... It's perhaps the most unintentionally funny thing to have happened at this point.
"Unseen Ones" as in "The Unseen Guests" aka the dreadlords?
I hate how there's a big push to make the Light an evil power, or one that is not inheritably good. Everyone cheered when Velen - inspired by Illidan's edginess - killed the demon who kidnapped his son instead of letting him go. Was that vengeance or justice? Is every light based hero who kills or acts pragmatically, going to be scrutinized as a potential zealot now?I like the poetic justice of a naaru imprisoning a bad guy. Usually its the naaru who are imprisoned and used as a battery for something. And I like that Denathrius doesnt die. He isnt above the law, and after a few millenia of deflating that ego, he can come back and save souls instead of pumping and dumping them in the maw.
