I think it's a fair assessment to say, after reading all the comments here:The players clearly do not want this, and that Blizzard's attempt to make her look good has (like most of their PR attempts) failed miserably. At least they were smart enough to get rid of her twitter and start a new account two weeks ago.
We'll see what's next, but being a former lead in COD and Activision is not my cup of tea at all... I have yet to see a single person being happy with what Activion's done these past years...
Mike Ybarra sold carries, so I think it's a fair question to ask if this new President does as well. A Blizzard employee advertising carries was upsetting to a lot of people -- particularly the president of the company! The underlying question here is what kind of financial involvement in actual gameplay does WoW have going forward? Will we still have a game where the president of Blizzard is encouraging carries?
Am i the only one that thinks Ybarra and the other guy got a heads up before this and was told "we are gonna let you go and hire someone else so we give you the respect to resign at free will?
There are so many CoD memes that would be good here right now.Get in boys, we're going to boring and stale gameplay town for the next decade...
It's so over. We are $%^&ed. I can't think of a single good thing she could bring over from cod that won't massively ruin the game.
Whatever. Still better than Ybarra.
A brief F in the commment section.
Eh, with how much these people leave lately, I don't expect her to be around long. If she does, I don't think she will be a good fit. Felt temp.
Calm it, it is just a title. Presidents show their face and act like it was their idea. Speculations about microtransactions and battle passes in a game with monthly subscription are not very realistic. A higher price for the sub is more likely to happen, it also would generate much more money (long term).Touching the running winning system, no one from marketing/ sales would want to lose or scare customers away. And in the end you all don't know what she has done and what she stood for. This can be a positive thing as well.
Look at the bright side, guys. Think of how much money we are going to save as a result of this decision.
Gotta love wowhead silencing comments regarding the new blizzard leader. Seems fishy that both of my tame comments stating how this new leader basically has failed at her previous job and knows little to nothing about how to succeed in her new position gets removed swiftly
