I expect Venthyr as a Horde (Undead) Allied Race and the Night Fae (the guys in the Wild Hunt, not the little fairies) as an Alliance (Worgen) Allied Race! They both fit each other very much and those are the last allied race we need to "complete" the set (if we forget about Pandas),
I hope they announce the covenant races will become playable!
Why does this read like a promotion pitch?
My guesses:9.0.5 : Allied Race Customizations. More Torghast questlines + cinematics. More Covenant stories + renown prizes. More impactful class balance changes, as the race is over for Castle Nathria. PvE loot changes, either in a new currency or higher droprates. Heritage armor that ties into what's going on in Azeroth while our heroes are in the Shadowlands, possibly hinting at future patches.9.1 + : The impact of mortals flooding the portals and reaching the Shadowlands. People looking for lost family/friends, and the factions setting up areas and preparing to fight. Death Knights will play a larger role. Maybe have to visit a Broker realm/world to get better technology. Also the effect of liberating anima stores and distributing them to realms. A new raid, possibly the Drust?Oh and they'll give us tier sets! A cloth, leather, mail and plate set that match the theme of the raid and have 2+4 set bonuses? That's what we wanted, riiight? Surely we didn't want a set of powers + transmog PER class. Fine, the compromise is new covenant sets.Looking further, we'll do to the Maw what we did to the Firelands. Make it our own and kick out the leader.Biggest question for me: Is Anduin the next Lich King now, or does Sylvanas save him?Personally, I feel it's in the nature of who she's been since vanilla for her to go through with it. She's a mix of selfish and needlessly rebellious while remaining a tactician. She'd be weary of being double crossed for sure, but surely she has a contingency plan, even for the god of death. Or whoever.I'd also like a patch that focuses on Azeroth. Maybe show the Forsaken and Night Elves establishing new capitals. They gotta throw roleplayers a bone here.
As someone who used to play CS on local servers where there was no algorithm to ensure that you have 50% chance to win(you either learned to play the game to win or lose them all) and first DotA using Garena to form matches. I have to say that today's FPS and their algorithm to ensure that you dont get past 50-51% on any map is anti-player practices. What's this? You have won a match? Better make sure for the next one to be harder and by harder I mean worse teammates and that automatically makes the enemy team better. Overwatch is very frustrating because of that and , generally , ,most online games that involve an algorithm to match you with someone. If you win too much the algorithm will act as if something is wrong and it will hammer you down untill you are as close as possible to the 50% win rated or w/e is the value the algorithm was wrote to adjust the player to. I am not saying there arent players so good that they have higher winrated. Those players will speedrun untill he meets people like him/her and the algorithm will start to make its presence felt to him/her , too. Those players are very.........very rare.I came to realize this after I remembered why PvP games felt better and more rewarding. You were losing untill you git gud and thus knowing what was your real skill level. Nowadays its just feeding you a false sensation that your skill is progressing and when you lose playing the way you did when you won you are left confused. I've played Overwatch for 2 years before deciding to drop it and I was watching Youtubers coaching random dudes and the more I watched them the more I started to remember that what these Youtubers were saying was what you were realizing by learning it the hardway and keep losing and the mistakes were coming back at you and they were in your face. I felt like something heavy was lifted off my chest when I quitted Overwatch. LoL is the same. Your skill might aswell be higher than your current rating or division but the algorithm is set in place make sure you leave that rating/division with a winrate as close to 50% as possible. The game is rigged is what I am saying because it gives you a false sensation of progressing and when you hit the wall you dont know why. That didnt used to be the case.
It's nearly guaranteed that 9.1 is being announced at blizzconline. But... that was already predicted, and with more things.
"Arthas micdrop" Really? What's a 'mic drop' about that? Argus is a planet, a zone we can play on, Arthas is a character, I'm not sure those are comparable.
C'mon dance studio!
I want to know what happened with Heritage Armor....they suddenly stopped working on it and never finished all the races.
I mean, Arthas has been mentioned and stuff related to him is obviously here, but I'm still hoping they tread lightly if he does appear in SL. His story ended with WotLK, so where can he really go from here?
At first they said only 1 week delay. Then they announce the expansion like 5 months after that. If they knew they had delays they shouldn't have announced the date or said they were delayed by one week. They literally used that as an excuse to build up hype and then changed their mind. The smart ones can put 2 and 2 together to make 4, not 927354428.
There will be a teaser for a Lich King coming in Shadowlands, except it's Anduin.
I'd be very surprised if OW1 got another hero at this point. Usually when games add in characters that have an ability to copy all the current characters in some way that means that's the end of it with Echo being that case in this game. If we do get any more reveals it'll most likely be for OW2. In terms of WoW related news I'm hoping for something else to catch my eye. Shadowlands overall story so far has been dreadfully to the point that I got bored of leveling my main through to 60 halfway through it. I'm almost tempted to just save a boost to just jump a bank alt to 60 instead.
lets hope for some Reforged updates
