Honestly, playing my ret through all seasons so far, I always felt like a burden for my team ( talking progression in the season ofc). This hasn't been the case on my ww for example , I rarely get bullied in LFG or get invited out of pity. This also makes specs like ret more likely to require raid pieces to catch up to others, which I suspect isnt enough in end game keys( 25s and above). Problem is meta shifts are way slow and some specs arent even getting touched enough to compete which is frankly disappointing.
It's getting to the end of the xpac. I say just buff up all the classes, and let us have some fun. The meta M+ crap is getting tiresome. Buffing all the classes up would level off the playing field better. Also, that supposed buff to tank threat is BS. Blizz's class tuning has always been pretty garbage.
As long as they are simultaneously trying to support a "top level esport" and "casual gamers" at the same time with the same game, this will be the issue.
this game class balance has always been bad and i doubt it will always be good you will always have classes that outshine other classes and thats just that.
it would be nice if at the start of every xpac they would stop undoing all the work they did to feral. im never able to start a expansion with my main because i will then be a burden on my raid team while also not getting invited to any keys even out of pitty because its so awful at the start of every expansion
I’m confused. When has blizzard EVER been good at class balance? Is this everyone’s first expansion or something? Take me back to highmaul when demo got nerfed 45% overnight.
The simple truth is ballance passes are massively to infrequent and specs like Destro and Surv should have been hit with something bigger within the first few weeks of the patch this is far too late and even as it stands the bottom 4-5 specs still as of now need a minor buff and the top 4-5 need nerfs of varying degrees, but if they did active numbers tuning either weekly (ideally) or biweekly and only did non numbers related tuning to specs like surv and destro that clearly need something different doing to curtail them/ specs like BM that visibly need something doing for their AoE (imo make kill command transmit via beast cleave) then the ballance would be very close now.As opposed to the mess it has been this season.
Didn't you guys already do this like 3 weeks ago... what has changed in that time?
Blizzards 'balance' has well and truly killed pugging M+ at the 20+ bracket. literally not seen a group that was not mandatory lock + hunter pewpew. Wasnt a problem solo pugging upto 19s but this last month has been aids of metaboost only mentality.Honestly made the end of the season utter crap. Blah blah run your own keys etc, yes its fun having to to gambit/dos and spire over and over and over for the chance at a 'new' key.Blizzard need to grow back some spine, other week I was excited to be able to pug again. But alas blizz caved into their desperate failure of turning M+ into an ESport and killed off the seasons. The only thing getting fked over more than their customers and rep, is their female emoloyees.
Here's the simple answer to this whole video-Blizzard doesn't learn from their mistakes.
Lol a literal free game do better tunning than WoW a payd game... even i have heard FF14 a payd game that don't even allow Damage Meters or Add-ons do a better job balancing and make it feel like all clases are balanced than WoWThis feel like the Game is sunseting itself, and closing into a "Maintenance" mode just like HotS
I just wish they would tune more than once a patch. Its clearly not enough, considering we have had some wild outliers every season since season 1 in BFA. Tune till the job is done, then take a look at everything as a whole before moving into the next patch. Idk what's difficult about that? Admin stuff? Management?
pro tips : remove all damage dealing abilityyou don't need to balance if there is nothing TO balance.
Whenever we talk about balance I have noticed some things about how Blizzard operates:1. Every spec deserves its time in the sun and its time in the shadow. Demonology was extremely niche for the first 2 patches but is now a top performer. Boomkin was a top performer for the first two patches but has now been intentionally nerfed into obscurity. I also think blizzard notices an uptick in community engagement during patches where balance is more lop-sided. Gives people things to talk about I suppose.2. Blizzard is financially motivated to have people re-roll. level boosts are expensive, legendaries are expensive, re-gearing to your main's gear level is time consuming/ boe's are expensive.3. Re-balancing has to be spread out to prevent hurting people who committed to a new class/spec. Unless something is wildly out of balance blizzard usually just buffs the lowest performing classes to help out those who are committed to their spec after so many months. They want to reward people who are riding the meta not punish them.I don't agree with these philosophies but people thinking blizzard doesn't know how to balance their game are naive. These devs probably have better simulation tools and perfectly complete data tools to see where their balance is. Class balance as it exists is probably over 90% intentional.
