I hope it's a patch, in all honesty. Or maybe a side game, but not a whole expansion.
I still think we'll see it as a book first, then maybe a possible patch as part of the next expansion. If this is true, looks like the idea of a Queen Azshara Big-&*!@ and Naga being the next major enemy is a good one, since Pandaria is one of the many 'missing' islands; will probably end up seeing Kul Tiras as well.
I'd vote more towards a book than an expac. Though you never know.Though it'd be even more funny if while you were scoping this one out they actually trademarked the real one.
patch = free / expansion = me broke againI wouldn't mind seeing some new classes or more customization in the classes. We just got new races already.
A lot of players seem to think it's going to be something else, I've never even heard of the "Mists of Pandaria". Surely there would be some already established lore if this relates to Warcraft. If I had to guess, I'd say its a side-game or maybe some Diablo related.
Pandaria was a April Fools joke about Pandaren, which I don't believe are actually canon. Its where the little karate panda dude you buy in the pet store is from, he's a reference to the prank.
I doubt it's a WoW XPac. More likely it's either Titan (lol) or a new iOS title for kids, based on the WoW universe.
The topic - Pandaria - seems waaaay too small for it to be a full Expac. I'm definately sensing either content patch or book. On the plus side; it seems allowing the Chinese to build that themepark was a good idea; it gave us Mojo Stormstout for realz!
The Pandaren are not just "an April Fool's joke". They are part of the lore, and there is (or used to be, dunno if it's still there since Cataclysm) at least one quest (in Ratchet) that's related to them, although you wouldn't necessarily know that's who it refers to . If the "conventional wisdom" is that "it can't be an expansion because they're not part of the canon", then that goes to show how often conventional wisdom is mistaken.Personally, I'd love to see them in an expansion. Playable race? Yes please!

Not only is Pandaria too small for a full Expac. "Mists of Pandaria" is a terrible title. It just doesn't have the same angst as "Burning Crusade" or "Wrath of the Lich King." I am also positive a lot of the player base does not have the slightest clue as to what Pandaria is.
Well in my view "Mists of Pandaria" its not that bad name for exapnsion .BUTI dont think it will be because!1. Burning Crusade/ Wrath of the Lich King/Cataclysm , we all know that Wotlk is about Lich king (arthas) and burning crusade about KJ and Illidian , and finaly Deathwingsince there is no enemy of panda in lore , and even some imda hard boss with huge powers , all is about Burning Legion , pandarians are not part of Burning Legion . 2. If somethink like that happens, i mean pandarians in WoW , then it will not be a main part of raiding , just questing and maybe playable race , or new class like Bard ( supporter ) maybe , who knows what blizz brings us ...I would like to see death of Deathwing in next expansion with name like " Nightmare of Emerald Dream" .. where you exactly kill him , because Old gods cursed Emerald Dream + Deathwing ... maybe who knows...
If we are to get an expansion, I'd like to see Kunark come back with some more innate mana regen AAs for my cleric. I dunno, maybe raise the level cap to 55. Oh, wait... am I living in the past again?
I would actually like to see more races but also a neutral race that is about to gain rep for both the Alliance and the Horde. This "mist of Pandaria" could make a panda race that is neutral.
For those stating that it will be a book: Please re-read the original blog post. Trademarks are filed in certain areas or genres of product. In this case the trademark was filed as relating to computer software. If it were to be a book, it would be filed as a literary work or somesuch.Given the timing? I expect that we'll see at least some initial teaser information of whatever it is come Blizzcon. We're just over two months out, and getting the trademark now leaves them time to do up promotional materials for the convention.
