Good hopefully this will help retain staff. So many stories of people working for blizz needing second jobs just to afford rent anywhere close to Irvine. Blizz makes stupid amounts of money with little to no risk to investment. All the best games I have been playing have been from staff owned studios and hopefully that will be the norm in the future.
Lets goooooooooooooooo! Congrats WoW devs!
lol everyone thinks this is good for the game? Oh the irony.I give it two months when MS will start axing departments.
Hell yeah
Whack.
Wow Blizzard is saved, they'll make good games while not harassing their employees.Too late, too little. The people who did bad things are already gone and went virtually unpunished.
Certainly something that would have turned out very differently under Activision pre-Microsoft.
Damn, I thought this was actually something important like a new dev group being formed to make Non-WoW Warcraft games. But nope, just a stupid union being formed to waste money, do nothing and be corrupt. Yawn.
I'm just going to say. I am genuinely disgusted by this. First, where the hell was the backlash when Microsoft bought them out? Reading an awful of commments about corporate creed yet not one about someone stepping up and preventing it. Did you think that Microsoft was going to be the white knight that was going to come in and save Blizzard from old Bobby boy? I pray that the studio shutdowns at Bethesda were a clear wake up call. And we all know the people here sending their congratulations are going to be the first to whine and cry when a patch gets delayed or content is bugged and broken because all of the teams have gone out on strike yet again. Unions had their and place time, but today they have been utterly abusive in the way they treat their members, take their money and promote a false sense of hope. I'm sorry they had to go this way and it's a shame that their customers didn't fight for Blizzard's independence like they should have.
Congrats to form a United Front! 🥂🍻
so the people that have, with their actions and decisions and poor work, probably helped by their incompetence, caused the game to be chronically empty except on release dates... are stronger now? LMAO. clap monkeys, clap.
Best news in years from Blizzard
Yeah now you get to pay dues to union leaders that work for their own best interests and not the members. @#$%^s.
Good. More cooperation between workers is sorely needed.
