"Trying to use hammer to hit nails instead of hands is just shows how bad you are" - this is how i see all who talking about locking gear is a step to "hardcore"It's not challenge when you get locked to one possible way. Challenge is about choosing right way from many, thats why gear lock is stupid
If people hate this, the door's that way. Make sure it doesn't hit you in the ass on the way out.
They really need to pull better UI designers from somewhere. This looks like some vague concept draft with placeholder default text thrown on it.
I've posted earlier in this thread complaining like most of the rest of people here, but I think I'm changing my mind on this topic. For reference, I've only done a +22 as my highest key so I am by no means a person that pushes this system to its max.1) No legendaries - This was the primary reason so many people (including myself) switched gear around during M+ dungeons. Without them, the need to swap gear diminishes a bit at the high end because you're no longer able to swap out of ST and AoE legendary sets. 2) Rebalancing (hopefully) - As we've seen, tyrannical and fortified start on +2 now, so I'm hopeful that this will make bosses like Lady Hatecoil and Hyrja a bit less powerful for the MAJORITY (meaning everyone except the true top-end M+ players).3) This affects everyone in the game - Sure a +29 probably won't be possible anymore, but maybe instead a +21 will be the World-First key instead. What I'm trying to say is, instead of pushing for 27, 28, and 29 keys, the top end players may be pushing for 17, 18, and 19 keys. The only thing that changes is the number of the keystone, not the difficulty. Two things I really hope Blizzard will take a deep look into are Class balance as far as defensives go, and (maybe?) trinkets. I totally understand the whole Azerite gear thing because they have various abilities on them, but is being able to switch trinkets around such a bad thing? And as far as defensives go, MANY classes are very VERY squishy (I'm looking at you Windwalkers and Shamans) and this has been prevalent throughout Legion as well. I know classes can not and should not be balanced around only one key feature of the game, but some classes are so out-of-line it's become a meme at this point.
I dig it dude, go in as a whole and understand the mechanics and fit what you feel is best. It should be based upon the classes we bring in and people mastering how they want to ride in there instead of swap this for X and do Y for that.
as a ret pally, I have come to like the fact that I can not rip agro from tanks on all AOE fights, now that will change in BFA, I remember the days of always pulling agro from tanks, even the geared ones, and it was not fun, the repair bills are going to get higher again.
Never swapped items in m+, so i dont get the whining about it.When you are so far into this that you macro switch entire gear sets for m+ then congratulations: You officially overdid it.This is on the level of the idiocy with speed runners. Just gotta shave off that 1 or 2 seconds because thats something that for some reason matters for you.
I don't know if that whole warlock summon thing would be worth it anyway, likely to waste more time hearthing out and going through load screens, I mean you gonna do that for every player for each boss ? All that will add up
