I want to rig Azshara so bad now.....(put in the animation controls)Wowhead, can I give you my email and you send me that? XD (no, seriously)
Jaina never looked more BA! Love her models. Also I already want a wicker beast mount.
Pepe is here!!
These are amazing!
Pepe really needs to just $%^& off at this point.
Brontosaurus Pet is way too cute!
I see quite a few inaccuracies here in the names of some of these. The one creature named "Queen Azshara" is not Queen Azshara, we've already seen her multiple times and this is not her. Also, all the Devilsaurs are called "TRex". Thinking these are just placeholder names since there are no TRex in WoW.I'm digging the Winged Sirens, there's your "mermaids" for all you Ulduar lore nerds (you know what I'm talking about) :PAnd someone explain "Troll Lich" to me, they don't have a Lich King, he's frozen in ICC (well, kinda).
Wow, that tiger loa.Sethak are cool.
That is absolutely Queen Azshara's model, as it matches the appearance of the artwork displayed at Blizzcon when the team was discussing the fact that we would face Azshara. The winged sirens do in fact look amazing. I am always a fan of maritime legends. :)It is still likely possible to become a lich without being tied to the Lich King. Going by other fantasy tropes, anyone who performed the proper dark rituals could bind their soul to an object and become a lich. It is also worth pointing out that the Lich King does not exert dominance over all undead, shown by the fact that necromancers and necrolytes still existed prior to the Lich King's creation throughout the history of both Azeroth and Draenor. That isn't to say that the Lich King couldn't later manifest dominance over these troll liches, though it is unlikely since judging by the forsaken and death knights, once one is independent from the scourge they tend to remain that way.
Titan Keeper Troll? now *that* is interesting...
The code names Blizzard use for the Models aren't necessarily what they are. It says Troll Lich mostly because its using the Lich skeleton and it has Troll features. For example the Keepers/Maiden models are called Titan, and that doesn't make them titans :)
Troll Titan Keeper is spicy.Till now there hasn´t been a origin story on how trolls actually came into existence.Maybe they also were Titan constructs, and therefore all Trolls and Elfs are basically related to gnomes, dwarves and humans in that sense.
I don't like Anduins face, looks too derpy for me. Also the pigman makes me think that someone over at blizzard has played a little bit too much of Darkest Dungeon
I'm curious as to why it's only the Humans, Gnomes, Dwarves, Tauren, and Goblins with new skeleton models. If they get their own unique skeleton variations, why not any of the other races? It could be justified to lump the 4 elven races under the Human skeleton, but what about Pandaren, Draenei, or Worgen?
I really hate the new Dire Trolls, they're too fat around the middle, muscular trolls are cool, but they go too far into "Bear Mode" for my tastes. Trolls, even the old dire trolls and forest/ice trolls always felt a bit more whiplike than that. Also they cranked up the asymmetry on the tusks to 11 which sucks.I feel like they missed a chance to correct which jaw the Quilboar tusks root on since the WoD boar had them root accurately with the largest two on the top jaw towards the front and a smaller pair below them on the lower The Legionbreaker shield skin for Prot Warriors even had them on the upper skull and it's based on Agamaggan! I am ambivalent on the new Tarantulas, they are more accurate to real life but a little less scary than they used to be (Blunt, furry outer pedipalps instead of a second set of spiked twitching pincery mandibles.) The Crystal Mine Spiders also seem smoother than they used to be, and that's a downside on the crystal version though it's an upside for the more mundane ones.Skeleton variety is good, though maybe more than one set of horns for tauren and potentially female skeletons would be good too as long-shots, and the Zombies avoid the strange eye sockets and overly smooth skin of the new-old ghouls. I love the fire ones espescially.I don't like Azshara's central tail/tentacle it feels worse but I think it may be a necessary animation thing to avoid undue clipping issues if she's ever on the ground. I however cannot forgive Blizzard continuing the tradition they started in Legion by turning the Sea-Witch hair from Medusa snakes to plain old tentacles.I LOVE the new flying Sirens but they better not replace Coatls when the Naga become a major part of things! We're SO CLOSE to having Coatls thanks to the Mana Rays.
Finally updated frog models. The small frogs have been the worst looking models in the game for years.
This is going to be such an amazing xpac. I'm going to have so much fun collecting all the dinosaurs. It will be like a childhood dream come true!
