Can't wait to burn this one down too
man, these comments on this post are just out of control. Most of you cannot decipher IRL from a game. You guys take this game way to serious and play the part to go with it based on the outrageous comments on here. World of Warcraft is a game to get away from the harsh realities of the real world. not bring that harsh reality into the game. Ive played this game since the games inception in 2004 alongside Warcraft III. Seriously though, If you take this game too serious, you really need to take a step back and step away from the game. some of the comments are here are serious and very dangerous and you need serious help.....ITS A GAME not IRL....People have been stalked and killed because of this game and the remarks that led to the people being killed.
Jesus Christ, don't make a race capital city an instanced zone inside a particular expansion continent
It is kind of awkward everyone has the same burnt mark on their faces. If they really want to lean on that idea, I wish they bothered making more varied options for these; body marks, scars, burns etc...
"Hi, I'm the fire mage who was there burning your tree. No hard feelings, amirite?"
This is just as I feared, and IMO pretty much the worst narrative decision Blizzard has made since Afriasiabi unilaterally decided to burn the World Tree. It’s patently absurd for Blizzard to literally roll back and undo everything for the Forsaken, and then consign the Night Elves to a zone that is going to be dead by the end of next year. And for those pointing to Suramar, first: Night Elves are a major race, not an allied race; but I also believe Blizzard missed an opportunity by NOT having Suramar evolve into a major city (like Boralus, where there are pockets of bad guys). All in all, this is an incredibly disappointing narrative choice on Blizzard’s part. And I don’t say this because I wanted the new Night Elf home to be near where Teldrassil was. But rather the narrative disparity between the largesse given to the Forsaken and the Horde (and let me remind you, the Forsaken and the Horde are aggressors in this - causing an unprovoked war and slaughtering canonically close to 9,000 civilians) and the Night Elves who have effectively been wiped off Kalimdor and are now a minor NPC faction in an expansion zone a quarter of a world away. The Horde’s “redemption” and restoration are unearned. You don’t get to forgive yourself and get rewarded. But that’s what Blizzard just did. Let’s remember that all Horde players got to complain about was not having a choice in being literally the bad guys. But Night Elves and the Alliance had to play though, yet again, being the victim. And this has been going on since Vanilla. And don’t Taurajo at me. For one thing, Taurajo is one incident, and for another from the Alliance’s story arc, Taurajo wasn’t supposed to happen and the players were sent to put an end to the atrocity. The Horde killed the captain and got their justice anyway. And that’s the problem I have in general. The Horde gets their cake and gets to eat it too, and the Alliance stories are basically - the Horde took your cake, and ... you don’t get cake. But here’s a can of spam so you don’t go hungry. Now, again, in before I am sure folks can cite a litany of story beats Horde players aren’t thrilled with - I get that - but I am not speaking particular stories. Aside from the revolving door of Warchiefs, the Horde stories, in general, have the Horde win. Alliance stories, in general, are Pyrrhic victories at best. The Horde gets to punch, and punch back. The Alliance never gets to punch, and never gets to punch back.I dreaded where the new Night Elf home would land, and for me Amirdrassil was the worst possible decision. But at least the band-aid is pulled now. There isn’t much more I look forward to anymore.
