Worst thing about leveling 1-20 pre-BC: Ghostlands didn't exists. Which meant the barrens. Which is enormous. And you have to walk. Uphill. Both ways. In the snow. And then you have to wait for the Crossroads quest givers to respawn again and turn your quests in quickly before the raid group comes back from their failed attempt on Orgrimmar.
1. Took forever to do (and understand) quests.2. Money was relatively hard to get unless you played the AH (not like you needed it).3. So much travel, but you had to do it all by foot.

Never tried Aion :oP.S. Thanks to the review, I'm not missing much by skipping Aion!
i could find only one thing: you get the most nice abilities at lvl20.i love everything bout lvling 1-20 exept that
1. The Deadmines2. Wailing Caverns3. Gnomes
Wow is the first and only MMO I played, so perhaps some things were rather noobish, but still...1. While I'm the kind of person who reads a booklet from front to back and back again, I ended up having to rely on the internet to find certain things out...like: how do you talk in general. 2. Running. Running. Running. And when you were done running through the same zone about 40 times, you got told to run to the other end of the world. Yay...thanks pal. 3. The feeling that all other classes got nice upgrades, except yours. On such a low level there need to be quest rewards for all classes...not for 3 in that quest and then perhaps 3 in another.
