Blizzard has announced an additional Painsmith Raznal hotfix that went live yesterday, noting that Shadowsteel Chains now prefers ranged targets.
This change is a relatively big deal because melee who got Shadowsteel Chains was much more difficult when attached to a melee, especially during Spiked Ball waves.
An additional hotfix went out for Painsmith Raznal yesterday that we’ll be adding to the hotfix post later today.

Good. But this boss still needs much more nerfs. Traps are good start, reduce amount of them by 1.

Do you ever just, accept, good things? Christmas must be a very fun time of year "this gift is good, but it definitely needs X"
The fight doesn't need more nerfs, you need to just get better at the fight.
Um, this isn’t Christmas. This is Blizzard realizing that, once again, they screwed up on testing the basic mechanics of a fight. You know, their job. There is no need to be GRATEFUL for a broken product getting slightly improved, especially when the fight is still clearly overturned on all difficulties. Get your perspective together, ‘cause feedback is the only beta testing Blizzard is getting for most of these "fixes", so people literally MUST complain for Blizzard to figure out what they’re doing wrong.
The system is broken, Blizzard is taking advantage of their player base, and people are going to complain, because it’s the only tool they have when things are broken. (Of course, they could always cancel their subs, and some do, but for most that’s throwing the baby out with the bath water.)
It is true.
I find it hard to believe that the programmers don't actually try to play the content they wrote about. They would have known if they play their own things.
My point of view is that, the programmers should be the very first testers. If you don't test what you did, you really have no idea about the difference between what you think you did and what you actually did. And that's how low-level bugs happen.
That and one of the 'next step' should be OPEN TEST for EVERYONE possible. Those 'stress test' are nothing when they open it to the 'streamers', mostly, or people that only care to get headstart for when it comes live (farm spots, gold farm, etc) and don't submit bugs for 'smaller things', that get 'big' when live.

This. Honestly, the fight itself is actually pretty interesting and makes you think... but it was easily the hardest fight that took the longest to get through of all 10 (even sylvanas was easier than this, which I was actually quite surprised about).
Me personally, I don't mind all the different things to dodge... the change I think the fight just needs, is purely making it so that the different mechanics either don't happen as often, or more importantly... DON'T OVERLAP so much. That's where the issue lies mainly.

The amount of times the spiked balls overlap with the Cruciform Throw mechanic is absurd. No I don't think it's fair that the only way you can really do that mechanic is to not be a Blood DK or some other absurd 'oh just class change'.
No I don't wish to follow a meta, I want a clear.
That should NOT be that hard; it is a simple mechanic and I know what to do, but the overlap is brutal.
