Easy fix: it should be counted on obtaining, even if you have no bag space. I.e. you get 100 anima with full bags, it COUNTS in that exact moment and goes to mailbox.
I reported this as a bug in like the 2nd week of the expansion already but sadly nothing gets done about it. There are plenty of solutions that could be thought of that are more favourable than 'oh, we don't want you to hoard anima in your mail'. So make it count IMMEDIATELY when it gets sent to your mail, or only when picked up in the week it was acquired in. For people like myself it's genuinely only the 'oh ^&*! my inv is full' scenario why we want this fixed to begin with.
How about Blizzard just credits you the anima as you complete the world quest regardless of whether anima ends up in your bags or in your mail box. This solves the issue of people hoarding anima to easily complete the weekly 1k quests and resolves the issue of people not getting credit if their bags are full...
Why does this stuff have to even reside in our bags to begin with? Can't it just auto deposit like AP did in BFA?It's not like we have some other bucket to put it in, it goes in the reservoir that's it, I don't see why we've went back to the Legion system of tokens... but with even worse restrictions. Requiring you to visit your class hall to deposit.
Or maybe we shouldn't even have anima as items, and they should be auto-added just like every other currency. Just a thought.
I found this out the worst way in the last week
I had this issue on a small scale this week. Was doing a world quest for some anima, and a rare popped. killed but forgot to loot. Shortly after i get post master mail with the missing 30ish anima from the rare, but it didnt count towards the 1000. Ah well... lesson learned...loot all the things always.
I dont mind having to grind 1k for weekly which is easily doable on reset. The bigger problem is the lack of anima rewards outside of the weekly pvp quests/events and the randomness of world quests. With covenant upgrades costs past lvl 3, on top of the vanity/cosmetic items the amount of anima you would need to grind takes longer than a week. I hope Blizzard adds some form of anima catch up, the best idea/fix for this would be to have a vendor sell anima tokens in exchange for Redeemed Souls. This would make 100% sense considering souls=anima and the fact that people will be getting 20 per week to gain a currency that becomes irrelevant if you already have everything in your covenant max lvl. They could start selling 250 anima tokens for 5 Redeemed Souls, giving players a way to not only complete their souls weekly, but also their 1k anima collection weekly. Not too much of a catch up, but a nice way to keep the maw souls weekly always relevant even after you cap renown and covenant upgrades
You should really get credit towards anima based on completing the WQ and not linked to how or when you receive the anima item
Sorry Folks,,,Totally agree with Blizzard on this one!You can't farm say 2k+ anima letting it sit in your bank so that when the next weekly comes out, you can just grab it from your mailbox and be done in like 2 seconds...That's not how it is supposed to work, and for the person who says to Blizz just fix this 'bug'... Well, it is not a bug. It is intended!Do your weekly. Any Anima YOU collect beyond the 1k per week, that is your business, but it is not intended to scam the following weeks Anima quests, and if you really think this way, you have a 'cheaters' mentality.BTW, as ex military... I am dismayed at those folks who have so much crap in their bags that they can't pick up a quest reward! I woulda stripped your bags and made you take only the essentials.AND there is a super easy fix for all you hoarders out there, make a level one, create a guild for the guild bank and walla, you got lots of storage, and don't be cheap, buy bigger bags, and for gods sake, if you really need to keep the actual armor/weapons you got back in vanilla/TBC... use the Xmog storage guy, its like 100g and has lots of slots.Man, you people.
