The new Jailer's Gauntlet (Boss Rush) mode for Torghast has seen some changes to the layer rewards in PTR Patch 41276. Two rewards have been moved from completing one layer down to a lower layer:
Jailer's Gauntlet Rewards
Changes
The battle pet reward
Lightless Tormentor
has been moved from Layer 2 to Layer 1.
The toy
Dominated Hearthstone
is listed as both a reward for Layer 2 and Layer 4, which is obviously an error. Likely this is a reward for Layer 2.
The title for Jailer's Gauntlet, , has been moved from Layer 6 to Layer 3.
Removed
Another layer completion reward has been removed:
Colossal Ebonclaw Mawrat
for the
Sturdy Soulsteel Mawrat Harness
has been removed as a Layer 8 reward.
We don't know at this point if the
Sturdy Soulsteel Mawrat Harness
will be moved to another layer, if the reward will be available through some other means, or if this reward is being removed entirely from Jailer's Gauntlet.

Making Jailer's Gauntlet worst, good movement, Blizzard...
Let's hope they're doing this mode more compensative in a way the mode will be difficult and the reward
will not be free reward for all, making it more exclusive for striving players
Yeah cos rewards being accessible to more players is making the game worse somehow lol
It's people like yourself that Wildstar was aimed at, look what happened there..
MT having a higher difficulty curve was perfect. It actually made the rewards meaningful. There are people in Oribos wearing xmogs that other people were not skilled enough to get. This contributes to the award exclusivity and longevity.
So I don't know wtf your post is talking about. I wasn't able to complete the holy priest MT and that's my only healer so I missed the book mount by 1. Guess what? I should've played better if i wanted it. Meanwhile most wowheaders like yourself would be in the fetal position crying for a week before picking yourself up to make ragey Wow forum posts and wowhead article comments.
A reward that takes away from the enjoyment of many to reward a few may seem to you like something you deserve. But it is a net negative for the game, since people who want to do brutally hard content are actually not large enough in numbers to support a game this size. Hence, the wildstar reference.
And whining about people crying makes you look like a bad example.
Why not just hand it out from a quest that says «Talk to this guy»? Then even more people will get it and the game would be insanely good! Maybe just give everyone rank 1 M+ and PvP titles when they log in next season? Wow that would make the game great! Everyone will be happy, not just the top 0,1%!
Great logic, dude..
Don't be obtuse. M+, Mythic Raiding, and PvP still have there respective exclusives for difficult content, but realistically, Timewalking Mage Tower is actually harder than it was in Legion (and don't point to getting very specific old gear to scale better without understanding that scaling is awful in the first place, and people min maxed old gear to get around the scaling issues). Hard content should be rewarding sure, but do we really think WoW needs more hard content when the vast majority doesn't participate in hard modes? Kekw

Wish more WoW players had this mentality instead of thinking the game should be brought down to their skill level.

I don't know about you, but I wouldn't be caught dead in the xmog from the TW Mage Tower. The original Mage Tower had cool looking weapon mogs you couldn't get anywhere else, and were worth the effort to do. TW Mage Tower has terrible recolors that aren't worth investing even 15 minutes to earn, let alone however many hours it takes you to do with all the poorly done scaling. I did a couple for something different to do, but they felt terrible without the borrowed power they were originally designed around, and I wrote the rest off as a waste of effort.

Wont be surprised to see the mawrat mount in the store. Greedy as they are. And could they please put som BOE epic items, mounts, toys, weapons, armor sets to farm. All the things that would make Torghast more appealing and worth the time spent on running it. Now its just time consuming and not worth it and an game interest killer.
The store is reserved for the unique models, not the reskins.

If a feature is released in-game, it should be accessible and able to be completed by any level of skill-based.
I don't think you understood the concept of games. Press button for reward is a terrible game.

Catering to the minority is a bad business practice.

But isn't that good, though? That just means that people are going for the actual challenge and not to get something great looking. Look at how many druids are pissed because the only available werebear right now is the one from the mage tower, so many of them feel like they "must" do the challenge if they want the form, and not for a good challenge.
I'd bet a hundred dollars/euro/gnome souls that if the rewards from the tower were all new and unique, people would also lose their mind as they'd feel "forced" to do the challenges for that new and special appearance.

you must be a zoomer that got a participation trophy for just showing up. There are plenty of rewards in the game already for you just showing up. Imagine thinking so low of yourself that you can't improve/work toward a difficult goal and be rewarded for that accomplishment.
One of the big reasons this game is losing players constantly is because there's no easily accessible difficult content for casual players to strive and work/improve for (That's why the mage tower is amazing content). You sub for a content patch release and that content lasts about a month and then they all leave because there's nothing else for them to do.
