There is still no 9.2 release date and we are talking about 9.2.5 stuffs lol
So conclusion: cross faction will exist to help Horde with dungs.
Hopefully with this change they also remove the cooldown on race changing.
Not every one has to be an Nigh Elf for some skips. For example you can skip the last of those fat trash mobs in the gladiator wing of the Theatre if your tank is a night elf.Just engage the mob (as the tank), pull it to the side so your team can pass without getting into the fight, once they are at the boss get up the stairs and meld to get rid of the mob again.
I'm just happy I'll be able to find groups as alliance. There's usually 3 times as many dungeon groups when I'm on my horde alt as opposed to my alliance main. Or even worse. At the moment of writing this there are 2 groups on alliance when you search for +20. While on horde side there are 18 groups...
Maybe some people will play ally races in teams, dwarf is so powerful as a tank, especially on necrotic, and to cheese some mechanics. Same for nightelf, but also the cheat death as mecagnomes
Perfect timing for this comic striphttps://www.darklegacycomics.com/808
Or you know, some will keep pushing with their favorite races
This article is overcompensating how "OP" shadowmeld is to the 0.01% of people who push world rankings in Mythics, and the rest of the population who cant find anyone to play with as Alliance for any content. Getting people who want to do transmog runs in old raids is still hard to do, much less looking for people who want to do current content.
Weird seeing people saying that they need more players for dg groups (so, they needed cross-faction) while at the same time they remove most of these players from the equation because of an arbitrary io rating that's way beyond of what they need... and we don't even need to talk about pushing keys to see that hahaha.
LFM +15 DoS. NE Druid Dwarf Pally OTHERS NEED NOT APPLY
We all know most Wowhead staff plays (and might prefer) alliance races (even if forced to horde in some cases). ALL races can bring something to some aspect of the game. If NE is only good at 'skipping', you're forgetting Rogues (ally AND Horde), with mass stealth (or just the vanishing, after pulling some mobs), Hunters (ally AND Horde) and other class/spec combinations CAN be used for that too. But I totally agree on the faction merging too, but other alliance races have their uses too even if minimal (mechagnomes can't die first time for example, as others have stated) each race has its uses, if people got higher keys without these 'niche' ones, they will still get it after the changes. It also makes it more fun in the end, not boring (if all people go into the niche path). It's just like the SV Hunters, more and more people are getting used to the spec, knowing it more, and even playing it more, for fun at least (it gets boring to play BM/MM all the time), or any other 'non-frequently used spec'.
