Cross Faction Guilds needs to happen, stop faffing around with "softy softy" just do it. I understand not wanting to force it on people but if you can't have random dungeon or raid groups xfaction and must CHOOSE to set up a group with a player of the opposite faction then evidently the people doing that want the feature. If people who, like me have waited years to see xfaction play, both for PVE and RP aspects of the game are getting to group together then what the hell harm is there in letting them guild up too?I know this might come as a shock to some, but you don't HAVE to invite opposite faction members to your guild if you didn't want to, therefor the feature would still be "Opt in".That said regardless of what is "Opt in" and what isn't, I just want to *'!@ing Opt OUT of this red vs Blue Bulls*** we get every few years, It's old, it's outdated, and it's a small number of people who actually care about it any more anyway, If BFA proved anything, it's that. Faction wars are boring, let it go, move forward, bring the game into the century it's in and stop sitting it in 2004.Cross Faction play should be a feature in all content, including guilds. No one and I mean NO ONE, Should be penalized for wanting to play the race that they most identify with, that they find most aesthetically pleasing or that suits them the best. Player agency, that's what you keep hyping up for the future is it not? Newsflash- that includes what race your character is. If you want to be a Night Elf and your friends are all Hordies you shouldn't be forced into playing away from them OR playing something that appeals to you less as a player. THIS is player agency Blizzard, face that reality and move forward into 2022.
WE WANT X FACTION GUILDS. stop playing with us and LISTEN
Seems like a lot of effort do not give the community what they want.
Doesnt end of SL means end of H vs A dispute? thought they finally decided to stop fighting?cross faction guilds make sense from that.
Really confused why they're holding fire on allowing this. EVERYONE knows it's coming. What's the point of not including it?
Keep it as is imo.
Let's introduce Cross-Faction but at the same time not.False Advertising
am begging you blizzard... please, leave this I could totally join my moms raid guild with this! I would LOVE this SO MUCH omg - FOR AZEROTH!
I hate to say it but they need to eliminate factions altogether since everyone wants to play a race or class from the opposite faction for that matter. I don't mind Horde characters in an alliance guild or vice versa. the large general consensus is pointing to lifting all faction restrictions altogether and let the communities play. It would be awesome to see a BG's with both factions on one team facing an identical combination. Whose to say that some orcs or horde races want to come over to the alliance or a night elf go horde? If blizzard is listening to the input from the communities, they need to take this into consideration.
I haven't heard a single complaint about the new cross-faction system. In fact, everyone I've talked to, including those of the opposite faction (Thanks to the Elixir of Tongues!) have expressed their excitement for doing cross-faction play, just because they get to finally play their favourite race with their friends. A few have also said they'd be down for cross-faction guilds, since they want to play on xxx server but their chosen faction is extremely low-population on said server.
For everyone saying "just do it" for Xfaction guilds, its really not that simple and you keep missing problems. Alliance can't go into Orgrimmar or other horde cities. Alliance can't do any quests that are marked horde only. Mob tagging is a thing. Warmode has to be solved.Lots of items, mounts, etc. are Alliance specific. You can replace Alliance with Horde in the above :)So basically if they made guilds xfaction right now, all you could do is instanced content, which is what they are doing. They have a lot of stuff they have to change/fix before "just do it, play with meh friendzzz" works.
makes you wonder if it was realy a glitch? or something else like a taste/hint.
Fun detected, fun removed, ptr 9.2.5 postponed and pushed back non release candicate for 1 month to fix
All these people saying "just leave it like this"...I'm curious, if they left it like this, would you all be OK promising never to complain if they left it like this and it turns out there's loads of bugs with it.Would everyone be OK having to remake thier guild and losing all thier guilds achievements and unlocks in order to sign a new charter to open up gross Faction for thier guild?.If I night Nelf joins a guild made by a horde, does the Nelf have access to the guild vendor that sells the mount or the guild banner?Would the guild bank work correctly? There's probably other stuff to think about I haven't thought of, I'm sure of that. Now to be clear, I want cross Faction guilds to be a thing... I know wjay ion said about not wanting to add something they can't undo later until they are sure. But honestly, it should just come now. It's obviously going to come, we all know it. So I (like many others) think it may as well just be added now.But i want to it be added. Properly. Not left in as a bug that's going to almost certainly cause issues.
Naw bro, Games dead Will shut down and be rewritten. It's basic coding needs this as things are intertwined. If they decide, could mean they are already doing this for wow2.0, but they've had a good run.
They should let it happen the only thing I find bad is the PvP side of things any PvP teams shouldn’t be cross faction, keep that as the Alliance vs Horde divide.
