Why do they keep doing these weird half measures for leveling? They have a great leveling system right there but it's locked from us. Let me fully level to 60 with timewalking campaigns doing good enjoyable content. And or let me begin endgame solo progression at 50 with threads of fate so I can be at or close to 80 renown by the time I hit 60. That would only make leveling alts more fun and rewarding. Right now it's a chore and a slog only to open another chore and slog. Things like a useful heirloom bonus, reduced exp from 50-60, BOA usable at 50 or 51 legendaries (or at least craftable then), opening all 8 dungeons for leveling queue right at 50 would go a really long way right now.I also think they should make SL part of the base game and put BFA and the SL leveling campaign into timewalking campaigns and make SL the default level path. Increase timewalking campaign to 60. Would be a much much better system.
The idea is good if they just up the numbers of actually doing a tower run (mobs, puzzles, bosses).
you also have to have a fresh lvl 50 to get the initial quests. the diminishing returns make is less than ideal
Add a 0 to those numbers.
Choreghast to level, choreghast to get player power, choreghast for life!thankfully it is $%^&ty exp, if i were to power level a toon i'm glad this isn't the fastest option. Although speed running the two wing quest could be handy for both a bit of soul ash, but only if you can speed run the floors.
Those XP numbers are terrible.
I'm all for making grinding Torghast pointless. The daily quest should be 1 clear (as the patch notes said it should be) and should be a substantial chunk of XP-- 30% really isn't worth your time once you include travel time, even if you can get through it in under half an hour. 50% would be reasonable, and 70% would make doing the daily definitely the optimal route.
My sub expired a few weeks ago. I was hoping that leveling alts past 50 would not completely suck in 9.1.5 like it does since 9.0, but no, Blizz is just not bothering with this topic. There are such trivial fixes that they could make, such as:- unlock all 8 Shadowlands dungeons- allow Chromie Time leveling up to 60- improve Thorghast XP- improve timewalking XP and make timewalking a weekly or at least more common eventOh well, their loss, because I won't return until 9.2, if at all.
Mob XP stops completely after level 52 or so.
You get insane amounts of renown already. Ive been working up a warlock. 2 days of playing in SL and he is renown 52 so far. And I am not done with the Chains of Domination campaign yet.
You can also give your alts the item for 40 renown to be used at 50 as soon as they pick their covenant if they go threads of fate. So you can work on renown more while leveling.
Just to be clear on the math for people, dungeons in shadowlands reward about 80-90k xp per dungeon. They're not exactly super fast. It takes multiple dungeons per level.Based on these numbers, completing two wings of torghast for the quest would give you:60k for the questAbout 10k for killing mobs.About 12k for objectives.About 40k for the final bosses.Total of 122k, or up to 1.5 dungeons worth.If you speedrun instead, you might sacrifice 1-2 of the objectives and most of the killing mobs xp, and you'll end up with about 110k xp.I guarantee you can speed through 2 wings of torghast where completion% doesn't matter faster than you can farm 1.5 dungeons.If you don't have the daily it's not worth it - and you should be glad of that, because nobody wants to feel obligated to grind dozens of torghast runs in a row to level up efficiently. That would suck harder than island levelling did.
They should at least give More Exp for bosses and "elites" in Torghast and at least not Nerf the Exp while lvl up, at least keep it in the same percentagesLets see if they listen or not (again), i hope they do but i feel like Deweet at this point
I believe they just hate leveling in general. TW giving more xp = OH NO ITS GAMEBREAKING INSTA NERF AT ONCE.Torghast giving less xp than a simple quest = oh yes balanced as it should be, its gonna stall gameplay time yupyup balanced.end this madness and let us lvl as the rate we want, i mean there are not enough players nowdays so why bother giving a nice new lvling pace? right? its not like we are not gonna get a raid in years? right? right?
