Maybe N'zoth gave us the means of defeating him, and maybe we do too easily, but, as Xal'atath told us already:"But as was so often the case even defeat ultimately worked in N'zoth's favor."
I still think we will end up losing and we really do not defeat him and us winning was a vision. Would explain why he is not even worried
Maybe N'zoth knows that we are going to defeat him and Xala'tath is a trick to get him trapped inside and survive.
It's pretty clear to me that we lose to N'zoth. Those of us who accepted his "gift" are going to betray our brothers and sisters in the moment we can land a killing blow. Next expansion will be WoW: Rise of the Black Empire. We'll have to recruit the Lich King and raise the dead as a last chance to defeat Nzoth and the other raised Old Gods.
So, what if we are hallucinating the whole patch while we still are in the Circle of Stars? The name of the patch and these quotes make me thinkg that: "Your eyes... are closed". "You will never leave the Circle". "All visions shall be made real".
I'd say that Drest'agath-Quote is more likely just saying, that we fight for the titans, who stand for steel and stone as opposed to flesh.
"I learned that it doesn't take much for my friends to believe I betrayed them."Sigh, sorry to hear that Wrathion, though you kinda earned it.
