I feel it's nonsense activating legacy mode for Legion until next expansion. Yeah dungeons and some raids can be soloed, but generally people still run Legion raids in groups. In groups legacy mode is just an annoyance. Were people really asking for this? Legacy loot is awesome for transmog collectors, but only for solo play.
This change is awful if you dont intend to solo legion raids,so that leaves mythic out.Drop rates if you have like 10 people the 4-5 items are split between those people every boss, more over now you get stuff that you cant even equip,so obviusly you trade it to people.Sends the message that its better to roll out PL in big raid woth alot of people, while if you want legacy loot the best option is to roll with least possible amount of people.
The best way to take advantage of this for transmog is to go with a group one cloth, one leather, one mail and one plate wearer. This way 4-5 pieces per boss doesn't feel like too little and appropriate gear can go to each player.Yes, one boss might drop all plate pieces, but at least one player can use them.I soloed up to so far Antorus and some runs I got one piece I could use and the rest I just vendored for gold.Choose either the hardest difficulty the group can do or the difficulty that drops a color variant someone in the group wants.
Ran 4 legion raids with my gf.She didnt get a single cloth or mage item, and we both only looted plate stuff for me.This also happens to her in every other legacy raid though.I have no idea how to fix it to where she can actually get mogs she can use, really frustrating.None the less, the legacy loot system these days is convoluted and annoying.
