well idk lets assume a raid is made up of 20 ish people considering that is how many you need for mythic so its likely you have 20 if your team is serious about raiding. - each boss drops 3-4 pieces of loot, 10 bosses, so 30-40 pieces of loot in 1 week available, averages out to >=2 pieces of gear per person if we are talking about heroic of 213 gear, the likelihood that those 2 pieces are actually good for you stat wise or even if its a trinket its not a troll trinket are fairly slim but even if we assume that both pieces are great thats 2 pieces of gear on an average week. now lets look at M+, you can farm these as many times as you want per week, and if you are part of the top you are getting the 210 ) just using it as a reference point i know most people farm a bit lower than that at this point). each dungeon gives i would say on average 2 pieces per dungeon, generally you see 1-3 per. 10 dungeons thats 20 pieces of loot for 5 players, so 4 pieces of 210 gear per person in 10 dungeons, now some may stop here because you just want to fill out your top 10 for vault choices. you could farm this out even more if you wanted to and have higher amount of loot. stat wise a 210 will give like 1-5 agi less than 213 gear, while also being able to farm a specific dungeon until you eventually get the piece of gear that is far and between the best secondary stat spread for your spec/class pushing that piece to be actually more valuable than the 213 a raider probably got which isnt able to be target farmed. whilst a lot of the trinkets are also performing at or above the raid trinkets ( afaik) this is my through process when i look at the current gearing and i find it to be actually comparable and i lean on the side that i feel like M+ gearing is actually more powerful than heroic raid gearing, and would probably devote more of my time to M+ for gear. now its just my opinion and im sure im missing something that might be relevant, but to me it looks like M+ if you can do 15's is a better way to gear currently, it will only get easier as time goes so i would urge everyone to at least wait a couple more weeks and let the dust settle.
