Exactly, and thats the main problem with the mage tower, it was the main selling point of this patch, while blizzard is fully aware that their playerbase is 85-90% casual players doing lfr/normal raids, or some m+2-9 keys, who just dont invest enough time or have the skill to do these challenges.
I was at about 50 or so attempts on aff lock before nerf. It was doable and I did it. Just really hard. Most people aren't patient.
Getting a bit tired of these endless nerfs vs gitgud discussions with no direction whatsoever.As always, the truth is in the middle. The challenges are doable. All 36 have been completed relatively quickly after MT launch. This is not to say that is an easy feat and these players spend a relatively long time getting them done. So strictly speaking nerfs shouldn't be necessary, and players that can't get it done need to get better.However; if Blizz' intention was to introduce the MT similarly as in Legion, they messed up. Artifacts and Legion legendaries are disabled, and these were crucial in the approach during 7.2. They had to adjust the challenges to adapt to this change, but of course this creates off balance within the same challenge, as these were made for multiple specs. Tl;dr, they created a situation where they can almost impossibly balance for all spec changes among one challenge, standalone all 36 challenges as a whole.Though I am not sure if it's smart to do it now, they could and should have made it easier on themselves: duplicate the Legion situation. Allow artifacts and Legion legendaries specifically for the MT alone, and normalize item level to 900 with Legion values. Artifacts are not terrible to get and to max out (basically one AP quest) and legendaries are buyable, though they could make a system where failing a challenge awards Wakening Essences so you can buy legendaries if the current setup fails.For reference: I have completed all dps specs and Vengeance during Legion, and Subtlety now. I simply lack time to do more, I've tried Sin for a bit but am struggling there, as it does feel quite different from the original challenge. I am a semi-hc raid leader with 3M xp, so nothing major but definitely know what to watch out for.

Can you make it so my priest healing spells heal maybe? Doesn't feel great when a holy shock or a WW monk Vivify can heal for 80% of a health pool, when I need to cast a 1.2 sec spell 8 times to do the same.
I’m starting to realize Mage Tower 2.0 is just to keep everyone banging their heads agains the wall until new content is finally released - all these wipes we are putting in for seriously $%^& rewards. I got the fel bear already now I’m just wiping for these recolors
