While this is getting us somewhere, Iridikron is still out there, and we need 10.3 to be the final patch.
An expansion fully underground with varied landscapes like deepholm would be awesome, including some underwater again.
Blizzard's lore and themes are just so off the rails for expansions now. It's nuts to me that there still hasn't been a Scarlet Crusade expansion.
What sword?
New dwarves might be a facet and faction of it, but probably not the face of the expansion I wouldn't think. Khaz Algar might even just be one zone for all we know. All the prophecy stuff and foreshadowing in DF and SL are all but declaring something really dark and Voidy is headed our way. And Iridikron and us are probably going to jumpstart it.There may be Khaz Algar in the new landmass for the setting, but the main heart of the story, the reason we might go there or stumble across it, is likely going to be something much more dire.
Please no Dwarf xpack. We had enough Dwarfs for a life time.
My guess is that those Storm Rider: bronze, Silver and Gold achievements are related to pre-patch dragonriding races.
Ragnaros returns :D
10.3 will be announced, and it will feature Iridikron. From the start of the expansion we were told "By the end of the first raid you will know who the big bad of the expansion is".Clearly and obviously, that's iridikron. Nor Fyrakk. Not Ice Mommy. Not Alexstrasza. Not anything else. So we can put any other speculation to rest.
I think it's going to be a "Back of Azeroth" Expansion with a few varied races and groups we ally with, Averlorn being a faux Arthurian fantasy area ( something Warcraft surprisingly lacks ) and a more Highland Scottish Dwarf themed area.It allows them to tell a more classic down to earth Warcraft story with familiar races, but gives them tons of freedom.
Anyone not want another titan / old god expansion? I'd prefer something more down to earth and straight forward.
It's clear as day. The next expansion will focus on the Eastern Kingdoms revamp.
