If u have excess mettle and your profession is at least decent then you are doing something wrong.Nearly every profession has some material or product which cant be crafted at gold without mettle. Just dump your mettle into this recipes and sell the product.
Was hoping instead for maybe a legion artifact style talent point you could just keep putting knowledge into, maybe like 10 per 1 skill or something, so eventually, if you actually put in dedication, you could guarantee rank 3/5 of anything.Y'know, or just more profession talents in 10.2 or something
Oh boy an extra 25 mettle every 2 weeks!11
I think this is a good change but we also kind of need a useful* mettle sink, mainly for my poor herbalist/miner xD.
How about something to just trade knowledge or mettle to a BoA item...
For alchemists, this is actually great lol
Professions this expansion has been the most bizarre thing so far. I stopped lvling mine mid Season 1 after i realized it was a waste of time since even if i maxxed out, making an item potions, enchantments or whatever was more expensive than buying at the auction house at gold quality.
Both my alchemy and engineering knowledge is maxed out and I have roughly 70 & 50 points of knowledge I can't spend. Have mettle of around 4k, this is totally worthless to me. Was hoping for some addition to the trees tbh.
I dont understand all the complaints, if you've been doing your prof weeklies, you've been capped for a while and have loads of useless knowledge. If not this change doesn't affect you at all.The only thing I can see that wrong with it, is that the rates for mettle seem quite low.
Lolololol!
I think I understand this for folks who do have knowledge capped, but... there is still no catch up knowledge system for alts or new players who want to get into professions still. It's tough enough that we have to grind for plans and patterns as well just to level up our crafting for said alts and new players. There can be a mutual system here, because I've only started Dragonflight quite recently with too much mettle, but not enough knowledge points in my professions.
